Has anyone ever dared to build power weapons other than a sword or a mace?

I've been trying to make my IG and SM characters more... characterful and toyed with the concept of a "Power Nunchaku".

I'm alomst certain it's never been done(correct me if I'm wrong), so I got to thinking why not, a simple flag pole could be cut and linked with a short chain or wire.
I've yet to build one but as soon as I do I'll let you all see.

P.s. Just so I'm certain how to do it, can a powered weapon be touched safely?

Power Weapons are fun to make... from various stuff! Post some pictures to get the idea of nunchakus and propose whatever we can!

And yes they are safe as long as they are switched off!

A power weapon can not be touched when it is powered up unless there is some kind of grip on it. I would say that any kind of solid weapon would make a good looking power weapon as it would be pretty hard to fit a battery or power pack to a Nunchaku tybe weapon.

I do have an SM Company Champion with a "Power Flail" sitting on my desk waiting to be painted (he's been waiting for a few months now...he'll be waiting another few months is my guess too). Oh and I posted a WH =][= with a Brazier of Holy Fire, which is essentially the same thing, a few weeks ago.
All I did was take a flail (the chain and head) from a beastman box and attach it to a sword hilt.

Actually they can make a larger than normal nunchaku with power rack! But as long as it is powered on the wielder will not be able to touch it making it useless...

I have taken the Empire General box and used all of his weapons for Power Weapons! Noone can stop you but your imagination!

This would look very good, but would be very difficult to explain. I was going to suggest that it involves weight or direction of the gripped handle. Then I realized that there would be no way to switch hands or do that fun *swing under left arm, grab it over your right shoulder, beat the brains out of your enemy with suprise attack*

Very hard to explain, but if you can make it look great, less questions will be asked.

I considered a "power shovel" at one point, using those shovels you get with the cadian heavy weaps boxes. Not that crazy when you consider it could have practical uses beyond smacking someone with it, like digging a foxhole in particularly rocky ground.

I think all heavy weapon teams should get a power shovel.

A Commissar with a power shovel? Sounds like a new comedy to me. Hey solider you call that a trench, this is a trench. BANG! (Commissar shoots the poor guy)

Later on.....Man this power shovel really cuts the work out of burying cowards. Now i have more time to discipline guardsmen!
