Very First Van Saar List

Hi all,
This is my first crack at a Van Saar list. Hell, it's my first crack at any Necro list. Any tips, tricks, advice, pointers you can give me would be great as I have only ever played one game of Necromunda in my life.

Now, I have 10 Cred left over and a Juve with only a knife. Is this a problem or can I just use him as a meatshield?

I don't think it's such a bad plan. They're inevitably going to be shot, and 15 points for an autopistol jacks up the cost by over half.. True, pinning is infinately useful, but when you only have 1000 credits to spend, you can afford to wait a few games I think..

Well you could always invest in some manstopper rounds for your shotguns, they tend to come in handy during the mid range firefights. On the whole though the gang looks pretty good and capable of some rather nasty damage in future.

Hmm, I completely forgot about the different shells. I will look into that.
In regards to my leader, would it be worth dropping the auto pistol and replacing it with a plasma pistol or would this be too much (and hence make him more of a target)? Or should I drop the chainsword to give him a plasma pistol?
Also, would it be worth dropping one lasgun ganger and replace him with a shotgun toting ganger?
And is it feasable to run 2 juves with nothing but a knife with the plan to buy them more equipment as soon as possible - basically just using them as a meatshield to protect my other gang members?

My next list has 4 such Juves.. I don't even plan to buy them equipment.. ;P

So I have re-jigged my list a little bit. It now looks like this:

I figure I can use the Juves as meatshields for my more important members and buy them more equipment as the campaign progressess. I am tempted to give them 2 knives each, but are they worth enough to do that to? WS2 means they are rather sucky, but will increased attacks offset this enough for it to be worthwile, or should I just leave them there as protection for the rest of my gang? I really don't have any qualms about sacrificing them for the greater good of the gang, and if they survive to advance all the better
