    1750 Vs Orks

    HQ
Necron Overlord with WS/Catacomb Command Barge 180
Harbinger of Despair with VoD 60

    Troops
9 Immortals with Gauss Blasters 153 (VoD)
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153

    Fast Attack
5 Tomb Blades with TL Particle Beamers 150
5 Tomb Blades with TL Particle Beamers 150

    Heavy Support
    Annihilation Barge 90
    Annihilation Barge 90
    Monolith 200

And I have 65 points remaining, which I'm going to spend for Scopes/Shadows/Shields to the Tomb Blades. I was thinking of 2x2 Shadowlooms,1+1 Shield Vanes and 1 Nebuloscope.
    What do you guys say?

I hate to burst your bubble but the tomb blade upgrades have to be bought for the whole unit. Other than that it looks like a good list for facing off against Orks, a friend regularly plays them and I find them to be a tough match up for crons.

You might consider adding a few despair teks though if you're tailoring your list, as the Orks have low leadership army wide making the abyssal staff uber good!

All seems good to me, I will say that Particle Beamers aren't TL on 'Blades, which is sad, but we must deal with it. As for the upgrades, take Nebuloscopes on everything, and I think that leaves you with 15 points, enough for Mindshackle Scarabs on the Overlord. Do you really need that many Immortals though? You could add in Warriors for extra wounds/shots. If you do this, keep in mind that 65 points also buys a Lord with a res orb...

This looks surprisingly effective! What kind of Ork army do you face? They're kind of my specialty, you know? ;D ... or at least they used to be, I might be a bit rusty on my Orkiology now...

EDIT: I wrote this nice long post about running Nebuloscopes with TL-Tesla (and how they do provide benefit, but not much)... then I realized you were running Particle Beamers! Hah, now NMP's post makes more sense

    XD

    Thanks for your feedback everyone
I am sad, though, with Particle Beamers not being TL. I'll probably leave the Tomb Blades as they are (no upgrades) and get a 2nd Despair-Veil-Tek.

BossGorestompa I mostly face Speed Freeks-Trukks, BWagons and Bikes. Nob Bikers or BWagon Nobs with lots of Power Klaws are also common. I think that Immortals are the best choice, since they can fire from Turn 1 with their Tesla and damage everything - from large Ork mobs to Nob Bikers. Plus, they will help Trukk-popping a lot.

Uhh.. It looks very tailored (which I guess is alright), but mainly, I am struggling to see what you would do against a Battlewagon rush list? Might be a bit low pointwise for that though.. I dont know, It just seems light on for dealing with battle wagons and the like.

    Against a Battlewagon rush list:
The Command Barge should be able to destroy a Battlewagon, before it unloads its cargo.
2 squads of Immortals have Gauss Blasters and a Veil-Tek attached to them. With some good scatters, I should be able to destroy/immobilise another one before it unloads its cargo.
Annihilation Barges might damage a 3rd Battlewagon, hopefully seeing its side armour value.
Any trukks, bikers, lootas etc. should be dead before even touching my army with so much Tesla out there.

Even if these things go wrong and the only things I manage to destroy is 1 Battlewagon and some other random stuff, I would probably sacrifice 1 or 2 units of Immortals (let him charge me with his BWagon squads) and then shoot consolidated orks to death. With 2 dead Immortals squads, I still have enough firepower to kill 50 ork boyz (Mathhammer) in a single round of shooting (27 Tesla Immortals, 2 Annihilation Barges and 10 Tomb Blades). PLUS a Monolith, which adds an extra punch against everything -from big nob squads to large ork mobs- with its Particle Whip and Gate of Eternity.

Hmmmm, looks good against all lists but 3x battle wagon w. deff rolla lists....those I would fear. Those make me shudder. You might even want to consider dropping a squad of the tomb blades for a triarch stalker of some configuration to help TL the rest of your ample amounts of immortal tesla and the other squad of tomb blades (which aren't TL'd naturally). Mayhaps the str 7 blast template one, or any of the others for against bwagons.

A Triarch Stalker with Heat Ray would be great against B.Wagons. Heavy 2-Melta against open topped vehicles is pure win.
I will probably throw an Immortal squad, as I find Tomb Blades irreplaceable.

So, my list should look like this:
    HQ
Necron Overlord with WS, Mindshackle Scarabs/Catacomb Command Barge 195
Harbinger of Despair with VoD 60
Harbinger of Destruction with Solar Pulse 55

    Elites
    Triarch Stalker 150

    Troops
9 Immortals with Gauss Blasters 153 (VoD)
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153
9 Immortals with Tesla Carbines 153

    Fast Attack
5 Tomb Blades with TL Particle Beamers 150
5 Tomb Blades with TL Particle Beamers 150

    Heavy Support
    Annihilation Barge 90
    Annihilation Barge 90
    Monolith 200

    Total: 1752 Points.

I would drop the Monolith for a Doom Scythe and give one more squad of immortals Gauss Blasters to stunlock vehicles given that only Battlewaggon rush can be a serious threat
