So a buddy of mine sent me this link to some of the COOLEST necrons I've ever seen! It was in another forum so I decided to cheat the system and just direct LINK the pictures here. I'll also put the forum link below if you wish to see his progress. He went with a steam punk design. There's a ton more photos on the main thread but this gives you some finished product ideas.

Those are beyond cool...I...don't know what to say. Is there a unit label on the units at all? I'm very curious to see what everything is.

Now that is dedication that i will never come close to matching.
That is awesome, truely epic in all respects. The only problem I have is the Monolith, because it looks kind of skinny and the lord seems kind of out of it compared to everything else's more serious look.
I should also mention that I usually dislike steampunk, but this guy can do it well.

I agree with you on the monolith. I think he was just making cool looking models rather than playing with them. I mean, where's the PORTAL, the flux arcs, etc. On his monoliths I only see the particle whip.

As a non-necron player, finding those pics for Dark Trainer was the first time I about playing them.
