    Just got a barge kit...

So, I've so far got myself a barge kit, and a battleforce. Battleforce is built as normal with 5 tesla immortals, 20 warriors, 5 scarabs and an interchangable ghost/doomsday ark. I'm also in the process of converting 5 crypteks out of spare parts.

My question is this: What should I do with my barge? I was tempted to use it as command/anihalation(sp?) barge. However after looking at the rules for the two scythes, I'm tempted to convert it to a scythe, and put my lord on foot with the warriors...

So IDK what to do really. What'd work best in my army?

I'm not experience with the new codex at all. And sold my old necrons a few months before I found out a new codex was coming out. 120 warriors, 20 destroyers, 10 pariahs, 5 lords, 3 monoliths, about 50 scarabs, 20 flayed ones... Man I wish I still had them

Spider spider on the wall, have you got no sense at all? don't you know the walls been plastered? Now you're stuck, you stupid ...

command barges and annihilation barges are better than either scythes imo

the command barge is great for killing vehicles and sergeants and is a av13 vehicle so it will be hard to bring down

the annihilation barge is also great for 90 points you get a rifle dread that can get up to 12 str 7 hits on vehicles and squads and is av 13

I own 3 barges, simply so I can alter between 2 anni and 1 command, or 2 command and 1 anni barge, etc. NEVER use the annihilation barge to bust tanks if you can avoid it...ap- sux, and it being open topped also means a single pen has a much higher chance to wreck it 4+ instead of 5+, but still dirt cheap at only 90.

For my barge, I've magnetised the mounting of the Tesla Destructor and the feet of the plastic Overlord, so I can just put either one on the barge, depending on what I need. I think it's madness to glue on the destructor or the overlord when you can just stick tiny magnets to them and to the flatform of the barge, allowing you to field either one whenever you want!

Also, as good as Annihilation Barges are, they are anti-infantry only. Yes you can potentially take out light vehicles with them, but that's not what they're for. Some people will tell you "anni barges are awesomez lol, the strenth 7 can pop transports and shiz!". Well, yes, possibly they can. But chances are you'll achieve nothing and have wasted a turn's shooting!

As for Crypteks, you can't go far wrong with Harbingers of Destruction! I made my Crypteks out of Warrior bodies, Deathmark heads and Triarch Rods of Covenant. I also used some parts out of the Lychguard kit to make some warscythe Lords for my Royal Court.

i don't even magnatize it. I just fit the tesla cannon on, and have the lord on his base. I don't bother with the other piece and converted it into a objective. Why should he have to drive when he is the overlord and there are 2 other necrons infort?

Yeah, you barely even need to magnetise it.
Personally, I bought five (with my brother), so that I can field all of them simultaneously.

No, you don't need to magnetise them, but I found that the pegs that held the tesla destructor and the handrail didn't fit very well, and tended to fall off.

I've only had one to use so far, but I ordered another two recently!

I've been playing against a mate that uses a barge for command and its way worse than anything the gunny barge has done simply because the lord can cause so much damage in one full game turn with it, taking out the read ends of tanks and any infantry he skims over.
