OOPS I PUT IT IN THE WRONG FORUM. MODS PLEASE MOVE TO ARMY LIST SECTION. I POSTED HERE ON ACCIDENT. I APOLOGIZE

Well I might be in my first tourney the end of this month but I am still fairly new to 40k. This will be the biggest point game I have played and I know I will probably get crushed but I am going for the learning expirence. With that said I have 2 lists I have put together and wanted some help on which one I should use.

First One (A more balance list)

    Lord VoD/RO

    30 Warriors

    10 Immortals

    7 Scarab Swarms

    5 Destroyers

    4 Heavy Destroyers

    1 Monolith
    1849 total
    phase out at 13

    Second list (troop heavy)

    2 Lords RO

    50 Warriors

    6 Destroyers

    4 Heavy Destroyers

    2 Tomb Spiders
    1850 Total
    phase out at 16

    Any help would be great!!!

I just realized that my second list might be illegal. I have too many heavy support choices or am I ok?

No, you're good, but you are at exactly 3 for HS in the second list. The Spyders can be taken together as one HS choice but deployed seperatly, and the Heavy D's can be taken in units of no more than 3 (so I'd suggest 2 units of 2 and keep them close together.

List 1 is more fun, but list 2 will prevent you from phasing out better. At 1850 points, you need AT LEAST 40-50 warriors (or equivalent of Flayed Ones) to make sure you don't phase out.

Here's a quick suggestion for you:

    Lord with VoD and Orb
Lord with Destroyer Body and Orb
    42 Warriors - 15, 15, 12 or 14 x 3
    10 Immortals
    2 x 2 Heavy D
    1 Tomb Spyder
    8 Scarabs with Dis Field
    1849, Necrons 58, Phase out at 14

With the 280 pts in Immortals, you can trade it out for 5 Destroyers or a monolith and more warriors... just remember, with most lists at this point total, you can only take ONE full squad of Immortals/Destroyers/Monolith while keeping your warrior count high...

    hope that helps!

Yeah I figured list 2 everyone would be recommend but I still would like some more feedback. Does anyone think list 1 could work?

Alright what about this one. . .

    2 Lords w/RO

    40 Warriors

    10 Scarab Swarms

    6 Destroyers

    3 Heavy Destroyers

    1 Monolith

    1850 Total
    62 Models
    51 Necron
    Phase out at 13

Nice list, however, I HATE scarabs and would probably take them out for some flayed ones.

Ironically, I'm not following my own advice for 1850 pts, mostly because I don't have the models built and painted yet... but here's my 1850pt tourney list for your reference. Not sure if it'll work, but decided to not take the Monolith this time in case it gets popped too easily.

    - Lord with Orb/Veil
    - Lord with Destroyer body/phase shifter/Orb/Warscythe
    - 3 x 12 Warriors
    - 2 x 3 Destroyers
    - 2 x 2 Heavy Destroyers
    - 10 Scarabs with Disruption field
    - Tomb Spyder

Total 1833 pts, Necrons 48, Phase out at 12.

might take 1 or 2 scarabs out to add 1-2 more warriors to increase phase out.

Personaly, i like list 1 better. I like more variety in groups then just tons of troops. but that my opinion, and i a noob, so you shouldnt listen to me tooo much
    anyway, all are good.
Fear not the light for I am the darkness, fear not the darkness for I am the light. Fear what you do not know, for that is I.

I am niether the light nor the darkness, the good or the evil, I am the omnipotent force that drives them, the force that controls them. The force that you do not see, but is always there.

I am neither living nor dead, alive or dying, but i am the existence, the existence of what you did, and of what you did not do.
