Can Someone please sum-up The Flayer

Can Someone please some-up the flayer when used against vechicles. I bought a codex and i think i read too-much and my mind cant process all of the info. Please sum-up How the fayer works please.

So shoot at the tank (or whatever) if you hit, roll to wound. If you get a '6' on that role, regardless of armour you cause a glancing hit. That works with ALL gauss weapons.
