I'm not quite sure how to set him up, would it be best to keep him cheap, due to the suicidal nature of the manuevre? I was thinking of giving him a nightmare shroud in addition to the VoD, so he could act like the space marine librarian with fear of the darkness. Has anyone had any experience with this? what do you guys think the best set up for a lord who's planning on jumping around to be?

Res orb + VoD. Job's a good'un. The res orb is mainly there so the lord hangs around even if the immortals get turned into toaster spare parts, he is soo expensive for him not to have it.

Well, I've got one lord already, destroyer body and res-orb, to keep my destroyers going. because they're pretty important. Do you think two res-orbs is a good idea or a waste/beardy? |

I generally don't bother keeping a lord with my destroyers. I just keep them out of the line of fire of things that can instakill them as much as I can. I keep a lord with a res orb and warscythe near my warriors so they can keep getting back up, and a lord with a veil and res orb with my immortals. They may have a high enough toughness that things won't instakill them from S, but they can still be instakilled due to AP weapons, and after a while your opponent realizes how dangerous they are.

I'll concure with The_Outsider, the VoD Lord should have a RO, regardless of the kit any other Lords have. The idea of the NS instead is nice, but with its limited range would require riskier teleports to actually use it. The whole purpose of using Immortals is that they can "rapid fire"(the equivalent to the number of shots Warriors would get at 12") at 24". You want to keep them out of reach as much as possible.
