How many GKT max in 1 unit?

Exactly what the title asks:

How many GKT should I take in 1 unit? And what would their weapons look like?

I'm planning to use 2x Land Raiders for this week's trial. I enjoy assaulting and long walks on the beach. :p

If you're transporting them in a Land Raider, you're going to be limited by your transport capacity more than anything. Remember that models in Terminator armour take up two spaces in a transport. Refer to the codex for the transport capacity =). As far as weapons loadout, I'm personally a big fan of vanilla style for the most part. Giving one of them an incinerator (only if they're in a Land Raider) is probably a worthwhile investment, since you're not losing any close combat prowess, and you can get good template placement out of the transport. Look for an opportunity to tank-shock the edge of your target unit before flaming them. If you're savvy about it you can set them up nicely =D.

How many points? if less than 1500, then i dont recomend it.

If you want to assault out of the LR, then maybe an incinerator or w/e.

If you plan on footslogging, definatly use two psycannons. Just a suggestion.

Use at least 1BC and 3+terminators.

If deepstriking, keep plain, or maybe one incinerator , but be careful, if you DS too close to opponent, there goes ur 200+ point unit. which sucks.

Errr, I don't know. It's your army -- you tell us =). LRCs are better for an all-out-assault approach, since you can get bigger units inside them, their weapons are all close-range, and they have the Frag Launchers. On the other hand, they're a one-trick pony, and if you're going the LR/GKT route, you're going to have an incredibly limited number of models on the table. Also, armour-heavy lists will probably be more challenging due to your utter lack of long-ranged tank-hunting weaponry, and fast armies (think Mech Eldar) will stomp you =). I personally prefer Land Raiders to Crusaders on paper, since at least then you've got the liberty to engage the enemy at range. Haven't played with Crusaders in-game though. Maybe someone who has can share their insight?

Regardless though, I'd probably opt for whatever you like more. It sounds like you're more interested in a fluff- and fun-oriented army, so go for what you think is bad-ass =D.

Seriously though, this question is kind of asked a lot. Use the search function. I am not trying to be rude, but the search function is your best bet, all of the information we have, has been stated somewhere in most cases, at least 4 times.

As for which and which to use for what and what, I would tell you, but i think the learning that is facilitated by using the search function can be better than being told the same thing by 10 different people who really have better things to discuss... Like arguing over who is the hottest actress imo.

Again, not trying to be rude, but unless you are Diggums, or using a water warrior list, dont use LR, they cost too much. and you can use a LRC only if you understand what is going to happen, which agian, you can find in easilly about 60 threads....

Go young knight, and search out the answers to your question!

I've decided to try this:

GM + Icon + 7x GKT + 1 TH/SB = 502 points

2x 8x PAGK = 452 points

2x Dreadnoughts w/ TLLC + ML + EC = 290 points

Land Raider Crusader = 255 points

That's my entire GM and Retinue in the LRC while my 8x PAGK footslogs across with 2x Dreadnought cover. My LRC then finds the weakest spot in the enemy line and drops my hardcore GKT there.

Any list with lots of GKT's gets my vote, as they are super-cool in my eyes.
A long time ago I put a Thread up on making viable GKT Lists, and one thing that came up was that a TRUE GKT list that adhered to the Background made use of IST Squads.
I don't actually know where that nugget of fluff can be found but it is true apparently.
I know you are no doubt making a Pure GK list - I just thought I'd throw that into the mix FYI.
I like your list, and the guts of it is that it's your list, so use what you want as none of your choices are bad, or even sub-par (imo). All the comments like "eggs in one basket" and "outnumbered", etc., are correct but there's no way round it sometimes.

I have a 3K Apocalypse list, and it's legal in normal 40K as well, and I love playing with it, and it does very well a lot of the time.
GM & 9 GKT - 2 Psy's.
3 x 8 GKT - 4 Psy's, BC w/ CF, some TH & SS - rest are vanilla.
3 IST Squads in Rhino's and/or Chimeras.
3 Dreads.
Great FUN.8X

My GW has ruled that GKT's do indeed get True Grit. They go strictly by the FAQ --> Official Rulebook.

Anyways, I'll give the LRC a go this weekend and see what happens. Where should I deploy my LRC? Behind cover or in open terrain for the fast 12" forward?

But here's a bigger question: Do Psycannon Bolts work with Hurricane Bolters?

Then you can play them as such. Personally I don't, but what the hey!

Behind cover if you want to wait for the other Squads to whittle down the attacking force before you show your 'Ace Card'.
For the fast 12" if you feel that is your best Tactic. You will have to decide that when you see what the Objectives are for the Battle, and/or what Force you are facing.

No!
