Hmm, the Csket will certainly dominate magic. Just sit back as long as possible and do as much damage with it as you can.

Although with the huge amount you have spent on Characters and Magic leaves little room for much else, you are going to have to be careful with movement and other spells later on. If the Casket doesnt deal with Skinks, the Bowmen and Scorp should be fine for that. As for the Saurus Cav, theyre a little harder. I think your Skellies will have to take the brunt of them and let the Prince do the damage. Try and get your Chariots Flanking againt Saurus units, or running down stray skinks if you get the chance.

One last thing, loose the Princes AOA for the Collar.

Ok, well, I postponed our game to next Thursday, as my army wouldnt be finished in that time, painting and making:p So to be perfectly clear, this will be my first real Warhammer Fantasy Battle, so i although it is for fun, it will be epic for me, and i do need all the help i can get. I will barrage the Saurus with Bowmen, and lure them in with my Skeleton block with Prince, use the Casket to deal with the Skinks and run down any survivers with the Scorpion, and then use the Chariots to flank the Saurus Cavalry and use my superior unit str plus combat res to deal with them, whilst the my flying priest will provide support to any unit that needs it. Sound good? or not quite as solid as i imagined it in my head? any help will be very much appreciated:D

Ok well as its your 1st game id advise you to concenrate more on getting to grips with the rules, learning how TK work, and making sure you get everything right in your head (Hierarchy casting order for example).

As for looking to Victory, your tactics seem fine. Just remember your opponant will have tactics too, so be prepared to go with the flow of the game.

Thanks, lol, it might be a while before i memorize everything, as I tend to forget little details, and that sometimes let me down in 40k:C

Ahhh, thats a good idea, never thought about having notes on me, i just used to go with the flow, but im not likely to forget things if i have them in front of me :p, unless i forget to look in front of me.

I don't know how many Saurus Warriors he will bring, but take them down with skeleton bowmen will be very hard.
Look at the mate: you hit on 5+ with 10 archers you will score 3,333 hits, to wound the Saurus Warriors you need a 5+ again leaving you with 1,1111 wound!! If I remember Saurus Warriors has a +5 save, therefore having 33,33% chance of saving.

But if you target the skinks on the other hand: still 5+ to hit and the 3,333 hits, but wounding on 3+ giving 2,2222 wounds. Not a 100% but I don't think skinks has saves.

I think the casket is a bit expensive in a 1000 point army, but if he goes 3 skinks priests it will help.

You may want to start with the prince in the bow unit and when times come move him to the melee unit. Giving you a chance of 10 more shots er turn.

The staff of ravening would be nice to take some skinks out with.

Yes, but thats why he panics about actually losing someof his models, and he then rushes to get to my line, where my Prince and units are waiting for him. I dont think putting the Prince with the bowmen is a good idea, thats why i have the Casket next to the bowmen, so the Priest can use his own magic on them. I barely had the points to take the Casket, so I cant really change much without having to completely re-do the list.

I cant give it a horse, because its on the Casket, and whats the point of having a horse when i have Cloak of the Dunes. Well, i can get the Staff of Ravening, but i guess i should be thankful that he only has 1 Skink Priest lol (dont ask why, i dont know either). Well, here is my list again:

Tomb Prince (General):
Great weapon
Collar of Shapesh
Brooch of the Great Desert

Liche Priest (Hierophant):
Heiratic Jar
Cloak of the Dunes

Liche Priest:
Staff of Ravening

18 Skeleton Warriors:
Shields
Light armour
Standard Bearer

10 Skeleton Warriors:

3 Chariots:

Casket of Souls: 165

Ahh well, i have now decided to give it a steed instead of Cloak of the Dunes, so im gonna stick with that now. Well, the only way i could fit the Casket in was to take out the Scorpion, but if you can think of an alternative in my list to fit it in then please do, otherwise i bought it for nothing :0

Ok, so i got rid of the armour for Collar, also with Brooch of the Great Desert to help dispel. I took away the Staff of Ravening to put in a Dispel Scroll, if using the bowmen on Saurus Warriors is a bad idea, i'll just use the bowmen to attack the Skinks also, and use Incantation of Vengeance on the Saurus instead, sound good?

You said the enemy has only 1 Skink priest? No way youll need 2 scrolls, not even one. I still think the Staff is a good idea to keep.

Also, Vengence is a bad spell. Use it only if you have no other good use for your slepps. Prioritise your spells. Charges, Tactical movement, Healing, Shooing, Magic Misile, Random Movement. In that order generally.

Awww, see little details i always miss. Anyways ok, so minus the brroch that gives me my 2 warriors back, sorry about earlier miscalculated, suppossed to be 17 warriors. Minus the Dispel scroll i can add the Staff of Ravening. Ok, it seems good now, here it is again:

Tomb Prince (General):
Great weapon
Collar of Shapesh
Liche Priest (Hierophant):
Heiratic Jar
Cloak of the Dunes
Liche Priest:
Staff of Ravening

19 Skeleton Warriors:
Shields
Light armour
Standard Bearer
Musician
10 Skeleton Warriors:

3 Chariots:

Casket of Souls: 165

Ok, all done

Ok, it is all done now, I think this should fair really well against my Lizardmen opponents, powerful magic, with close combat counter-attack power. If you can think of anything else that could help, then please add more. I have typed up some notes to take with me, so i wont forget important details:C:party2::C
