naw thats fine...

i dont like personally the devourers. I prefer the termagaunts. But otherwise youre list is fine, if not fragile... VERY FRAGILE! Also, this belongs in the Tyranid Army List Forums.

first off, your list is illegal. the HQ , the warrior brood. even though they can differ in weaponry every member of the brood has got to have the same upgrades. so the venom cannon warrior also needs toxin sacs. the devilgaunts can do some damage but not on this point size. use regular termagaunts, or spinegaunts. whatever you may prefer. I go for termagaunts anyday. this will give you some more bodies. also imho NEVER take a ravener with scyting talons. rending claws ftw. other then that, list looks fine.

Actually, it doesnt specifically say that in the Codex... but yeah, give your raveners Rending claws with the scything talons.

Just spoke with John Spencer, a customer service rep from GW (US site)

Here's what he said about biomorphs and weapon symbiotes:
John Spencer from GW said:
Per the rules on page 37 of the Tyranid Codex, it says: “Tyranid Warrior broods may choose biomorphs from the list below… Each Warrior in that brood must then also choose two weapon-symbiotes.”

So each Brood chooses the Biomorphs together. But each Warrior chooses their weapons individually.
Hope this clears things up guys.

i change the VC to BS to one of may warriors coz i think its more effective than the VC(in this game point) nd i really dont need that much anti-tank guns! besides its 500pts....and im thinking replacing the sniperfex in to dakka fex so i can put devs on may raveners? wat do u think?

Make sure your raveners are 3 units of one, and if you like warriors keep them (I don't like th BS on warriors, I would save points and get another devourer [both are the same strength, but devs get a reroll, and are more consistant (normally going to get 3 hits, as opposed to getting 6 or 0 (which averages to about 3 per turn, is less likely to wound, and costs more)).

If you are going for power gamer status I would upgrade warriors to a tyrant with 2 devs, senses and toxin sacks...should cost comprable, be as or more resiliant, and give the same benefit of synapse.

ok i must have misread. anyweay your list is good, if not fragile. Also, give your warriors deathspitters, they are more effective than devourers on warriors. And watch out, your list is very FRAGILE! And get rid of the Barbed strangler warrior costs to much and a strength 4 large template isnt worth it.

I wouldn't say that,
a barbed strangler can be very effective.
most of the time it's a 3+ to wound, 4+ if MEQ.
and the pinning is a nice addition.
on 2000 pnts I run 2 warrior squads, 1 with deathspitters and bs and one with twin linked devs.

know the role of your unit.
imho at this stage go for the twin linked devourer warriors. I love those.
you have all the anti tank you need in a sniperfex.

ps in higher point games. lose the rippers.

i have a tyrant! a winged dakka tyrant a heavy kitted tyrant and it cost too much! i think i have buy another one for this army! hehehe!..........wat would will be the best tyrant config in this army the dakka or the cc?
well both are good. I've always ran with a CC flyrant, and just decimated things, i use him as my IC hunter. Right now i'm going to be running a list with twin linked devx2 flyrant in league and see how he does, though i'm sure he'll do great. You may want to consider decking out your MC's with magnets - that is converting your monstrous creatures to have magnetic joints so you dont have to purchase anymore than you need. There should be a guide somewhere, possibly in modeling i hope? if not you can probably google one, or i can give you a quick rundown on how to do it. I may just even write one and post it in modeling if there isnt one at all.

Definitely don't remove any raveners. If you are going to remove one, you might as well remove them all. If there are too few, they'll be blown away the turn they deep strike, and with an armour save of 5+, it is not hard to kill them. The more you have, the more chance they'll live to do some damage.
