I prime my bloodletters in black, then put down two thinned coats of the foundation tallarn flesh color. I then ink the entire model with red ink. The effect it leaves is one of .... muscle tissue with flesh recently flayed from it. It's not a perfect effect, but for tabletop it's VERY easy to do, and not too shabby. For hellblades, I paint them green (like very bright green, not christmas green) with pinkish regular tongues. I do the hilts in a brass, gold, and black.
I don't have pictures right now, but I'll see if I can find time to snap some for ya.
I paint mine mechrite red followed by a devlan mud wash. white/yellow eyes and glossed black swords with red runes on.
