Greetings fellow 40k minds

Here is a rather bizarre turn of events. Me and my 500pts (list below) will be taking on Eldar (could possibly be Sisters), Orks and Space Marines, in a friendly that has a different style of play, still using 40K rules, but our units are sort of ghosts. First of all, I will post my list, bearing in mind that this is all that I will have for the match,:bad: and post the rules below.

HQ
Dracon 117
Shadow Field
Punisher
T.Helm
Combat Drugs
Hell Mask
P.Nades

Haemonculus 52
Destructor
Hell Mask
Scissorhand
P.Nades

Troops
Warrior Squad (x11) 151
Dark Lances (x2)
Blaster (x2)
Sybarite
Punisher
T.Helm
P.Nades
(Haemonculus)

Raider Squad (x9) 180
Blaster
Splinter Cannon
Sybarite
Xenospasm
P.Nades
Raider
Disintegrator
Horrofex
(Archon)

Now for the rules, and what I think will happen.:S

The table we will be using is 59x30 inches, and will most likely contain over 80 models at once. Hence, quarters will be tight, and there will be a lot of close combat happening, which is why I have fit the HQs with hell masks, to try and minimise damage. They also need to be with the warriors, as they will be my opponents intial targets. However, it is where we start that worries me.:tremble:

Basically, I will be starting from one of the ends of the table, and my first opponent, who handles Orks, will be starting from the other. The other two, who control Eldar (or Sisters) and Space Marines, will be smack dab in the middle. They will not fight each other until they have eradicated the so called 'Dark-Waaaagh!' That's a working progress.;) Anyway, the E and S.M will try and block themselves in to a small fortification which we will make, and attempt to stay out of close combat, and take cover from the Dark Lances and Sluggas.

Now apparently, the Eldar want to take on the Orks, :fingers-crossed: so that leaves me to deal with the S.M's. Having had experience with them as a Hive Fleet, I am pretty much aware of want they tend to do. I believe that each opponent will take the following:

Space Marines
Librarian
5-6 Terminators
Tactical Squad
Scouts
OR
Scouts (x2)

Orks
Warboss
20 or so Boyz (Sluggas, Burnas, and Shootas)
3-5 Nobz
Possibly a Deffkopter or two

Eldar
Farseer (I know he will give it Guide. Not sure about anything else)
Defintiely some Banshees (he never goes without them)
Guardians, Maybe Rangers
Either Warp Spiders OR Swooping Hawks
He could bring Shining Spears OR War Walkers

If it is Sisters

Sisters
Canoness
Battle Sisters (I believe with a Sister Superior)
Seraphims
Dominion
If he can spare it, he may even throw in some Retributors

We have specified certain rules here, and this is giving me some weird insights into what could happen:

 • Until two armies are completely destroyed, you must refrain from targeting your opposing force. DE cannot hit Orks, and Space Marines cannot hit Eldar (or Sisters)
 • If you happen to kill the HQ of any army, you are allowed to bring back, or 'ressurect' one of your Troop choices if they happen to be killed. This may only be used one time only.

 • If your army happens to be one of the two left standing, then all units will be revived and placed anywhere within their half of the table edge (long ends) and battle until one army is left
EITHER THIS, OR

 • If your army happens to be one of the two left standing, they will continue to battle where they stand
 • The idea is to Annihilate all of the other armies, while attempting to claim the most strategic points on the field. There will be a total of 7: two on the ends, two in the middle, two in between and one in the fort
HAVE TO YET TO CLARIFY THIS RULE:

 • At one point in the game, you are able to call upon up to five models that you have slain in battle to target your opponent from the point where they were slain. They may assault six inches and shoot as normal, but may not move
Phew, that certainly is alot. I didn't realise how much we were putting ourselves up for. Expert advice would be really good, and if anyone has actually played a battle in anyway similar to this then it would be great to hear from you.

Space Marines and the Eldar will probably take first turn. Damn.:at-wits-end: I will most likely set up my half of the field with cover on two sides, with three entry ways. I call it the 'Bumper Formation'. Seeing as how it will be tight quarters, I am thinking that fleeting is out of the question, unless I know that I can assault and still be able to come out in one piece. I think using the Raider is going to be difficult, and it is probably going to be the only vehicle out there, and will absorb lots of freakin' heavy bolter and if I manage to get to the final two, will be blown to pieces in no time by the sluggas or laser lances. I will try and get the Haemonculus over to one of the side entries so as to get an angled shot at the Marines to maximise casualties, and the Dracon up the opposite, so as to get the Librarian on its own, which will be placed in the middle of the unit, and if the Raider survives the next turn, will lance him to the Emperor. The Scouts are my first priority, with the Dissie, and then the Termies with the Lances; they will be in range. I think I will let the E/B.S beat each other to death in close combat before I start to charge.

As for the strategic points, seeing as how each army will already have a one, I am not going to worry about the one in the fortress, as it will be a massacre to get in there, and I do not have the models to spare for it. I will definitely go for the one between the S.M and I, but firstly let him come to me. When he gets close enough to it, he will have a nice, red Raider slammed in his face with a Dissie going of its nut, and one angry Archon lopping limbs off with wonton glee.:sinister:
If I annihilate the S.M, :victory: my next priority is Eldar.:bulgy-eyes: This opponent is the most experienced, and tends to use them in a close combat manner. Therefore, I will most definitely have to try and kill the S.M quickly, probably by turn 2 or 3, so I can catch the Eldar in a crossfire at their back. Definitely target the Banshees first, then the Farseer. Will preserve the ‘lost unit’ for the Orks. Not worried about them. Again, will be shooting more so than fighting, but if I cannot avoid it, I have the Hell Masks.
Think that’s everything. I have some general questions which could be helpful:
· In this situation, would it be ethical to use the Blast Template or the 3 shots with the Disintegrator?
· Would I want to set up my cover in ‘Bumper Formation’ or would there be a better way?
· Should I take the strategic point inside the fortress?
· Am I going to use the Raider right, and if it gets shot down, should I bring it back, or the Warrior Squad?
Would be good to hear from you all, and discuss any queries or tactics, or just in general anything I’m doing wrong.

NEED ADVICE!!! Been snooping around

Alright guys, the match is on Friday and I seriously need some help to see if I am doing the right thing!

Hopefully this will hope you put your minds at ease. Been snooping around the Orks and Sisters army lists, and have found out what each will be taking (opponent will not be taking Eldar, rather Sisters). Don't know about upgrades with the Sisters. however. The Space Marines opponent is not with Librarium, so cannot clarify what he is taking.

As for the Sisters:

Canoness
Battle Sisters
Seraphim
Exorcist

As for the Orks, I know exactly what he is taking:

Warboss
Attack Squiq
Combi Shoota Scorcha
'Eavy Armor

12x Boyz
Rokkit Launcher
Nob Leader
Power Klaw

13x Boyz
Big Shoota

5x Lootas
Mek
Kustom Mega Blasta

3x Defkoptas
Twin-Linked Rokkit Launchers

As I said, I really need advice. Sorry about the long post, if this is what is turning you off. I really want to win this one, to gain some respect from my opponents.

It would certainly seem that way, however we as a group have specified that in order to win, one would have to claim the most strategic points, otherwise there would be a play off. I should've mentioned that before. Anyway, what I mean is, if I happen to annihilate everyone, but say the Orks claim the most strategic points, then we would battle each other again, at opposite ends. This rule is just make a fast paced game, and to get a lot of close combat happening.

Any real advice?

OK lets see what i can do for you. I not really that good with Dark Eldar but anyway, u maybe shouldn't out your archon in with the warriors if your fighting marines (im sorry to other marine players) rush your archon stright into close combat as the marines basically suck at close combat. Sisters are very shooty but also suck at close combat same with most light eldar units (sorry everyone). Marines are a pain in the fact that they survive alot of pain as do the sisters (they SHOULD have a 4+save instead of 3+) Now the eldar are generally gonna camp alot with most units and send bashees or harlequins forward, your best tactic is to shoot them first with as much firepower as possible (u should have enough) another helpful thing is going to be lots of low a weapons (3-). As for the orks they are very very annoying iin combat so avoid AMAP (as much as possible) the lootas are going to hurt so watchout for them and also becareful of the warboss (believe me these guys are abslute tanks in cc) OVerall this list is ok to me.
