I played an apparent 750 point game tonight with my Shadow Ravens, my list was 20 marines, a captain, a drop pod and 5 termies, which was 750 on the dot. The guy I played was chaos. He had.

Defiler (couldnt be shaken?)
Extra close comebat thing, havoc launcher, battle cannon.

Dreadnought
Las cannon, DCCW

Dreadnought
Pus cannon, DCCW

Sorcerer
mark of nurgle, terminator armour, force weapon, twin link bolter, lightning claw, some spawn power.

7 Plague marines

7 odd chaos marines
Aspiring champion w/powerfist plasma pistol
melta gun

Does this seem like a touch over 750 points?

I got beaten, managed to leave him with a single dread who only had a pus cannon, a defiler minus his CCW thingy (he only lost a single attack when I took it off, is that right?), 2 chaos marines, 1 plague marine, sorcerer with 1 wound (after re rolling 2 failed invulnerable saves for god knows what purpose)

I can forgive the fact he didn't really what he was doing properly but nobody likes getting smashed down, plus the table we used was like 4 foot by 2 foot. Grr to apocalypse games stealing alot of tables, so they had 6000 points, I wanted a table! Ahem, after that rant could anybody help me out with the points costs?

Thanks!

First of all, this should be in the chaos section, you would have more people knowing about chaos there.

Secondly, this list is not only over points, but also very, very illegal.

The defiler, yes, it cannot be shaken or stunned, due to daemonic possession. It also does only lose 1 attack for each DCCW destroyed/ other than the last one (It has 2 base, then had the 1 more he added).

The dreadnoughts, the first ones legal, but on the second one, there is no such thing as a Pus Cannon in the chaos marine codex. What stats did he use for it?

The sorceror cannot have lightning claws at all, if a tad expensive. The power is called Gift of Chaos for making spawns. And no, they cannot reroll failed invunerable saves, ever.

the plague marines and normal marines are legal, but such terrible, terrible squads.

Altogether, this list runs at roughly 900 points, depending on how much he charged himself for the 'pus cannon', and whether he charged himself for the lightning claw that he cannot take.

So not only is the list over points limit, and illegal, its also a terrible list.

I make it 879 without including the cost for a lightning claw (illegal) and the pus cannon (illegal) - assuming he paid for these then the list would run at over 900 points.

You've been done. Point out the mistakes and if he's unrepentant don't play him again.

Yeah I thought so, the pus cannon was probably just a flamer, it was like stength 6 ap 4 or 3 ...Wounding my guys on 2+ but only agaisnt terminators so I can't remember the ap...Thanks for your quick replys too, and I only posted it here Riptor because I knew I would have a sympathetic ear, lol, instead of going to the chaos forum where I can imagine something along the lines of..."Serve's the loyalist scum right" lol. Yeah I had to object when he tried to claim the bonus for 2 lightning claws on the sorcerer as well as take psychic tests for his force weapon and shoot me with his twin link bolter. lol. Ah well. Thanks again.
