The basic plan is ASSAULT, ASSAULT, ASSAULT. The Hive Tyrant, lictor and the Gargoyles will annoy the opponent, killing blast guys and flamers, as well as just distracting the opponent so that my main force gets into CC. The Broodlord will lead the rest of the army into CC. The Elite fexes will run to the opponent while behind a wall of gaunts to give them a cover save, and the heavy support will clear paths for the troops. I have designed the gaunts with Flesh borers so that they can hold their ground next to the objective if they get attacked while reinforcments come. Once the elite fexes get into CC, they will deal out large amount of deadly blows, weakening the army substantially. The only comment I have to make about it is that every troop is importent, and if any of the broods go before they have done their job, a win will be harder to get.

EDIT: I was thinking, mayve I should swap the Gargoyles for Raveners, then deepstrike them, but the gargoyles are sutible for their puropse.

I like it if your going for assault. It's gonna be fast and deadly. Maybe trade one pair for TL Dakka so you can shoot before assault but that's just a suggestion.

1. BroodLord: Extended carapace (Sv), Toxin Sacs (S)

points: 90

16. Genestealers: Extended carapace (Sv)

Not bad but I would recommend putting feeder tendrils on the Broodlord. They are very helpful. You can get the points from the 5 'stealers that sadly have to go as 11 is the max for his retinue.

2. Carnifex: sything Taylons, Sything Taylons, Toxin Sacs (S), Adrenal glands (WS)

points: 222
You might want to put both EC and the other AG on this guy. Also Bio-plasma works wonders on a CC oriented fex.

1. lictor

points:80
All I can say is good luck with him. He tends to be hit or miss if he ends up in combat. Best used as support for gaunts because of his Feeder tendrils.

8. Spine gaunts: Spine fists

I like the gaunts overall but personally I think you should have at least 10 per squad. Otherwise they will just get mowed down by potentially one squad in the shooting phase against almost any opponent. And two will usually wipe an 8 man.

6. Genestealers: Extended carapace (Sv)

points: 120
Perhaps scuttle them? Outflanking stealers can put the hurt on your opponent and you have a 2/3 chance of them coming from the side you want. Again though I would say more. Even if you have to cut some gaunts.

8. gargoyles:

points: 96
interesting choice. Never used them myself so no experience with them so good luck with 'em.

2. Zoanthropes: Synapse, Warp Blast

points: 130
Pretty standard Zoa's right here. Nothing wrong with that.

1. Carnifex: Barbed strangler, Venom Cannon, Enhanced sences (BS)

points: 148
Standard sniperfex. Pretty solid there overall although you should probably put EC on this guy too.

Not too bad a list overall. I tend to run larger gaunt squads but that's up to you. Got a few things to fix and I would recommend some EC with the points those 'stealers free up. Good luck with it.

P.S. Almost forgot. Gaunts aren't tall enough to provide fexes with cover saves. At least not last time I checked. As a MC the fex needs 50% covering, which takes precedence over any other cover rule.

that is a good idea, but the BS of a Tyrant is not too high, I will think about that.

oh yeah, with the genestealers, that was a mistake when I was posting the thread. It is supposed to be 6 genestealers(as you can see with the points). I never have tried Feeder Tendrils, but what it does looks good, preffered enemy.... *mutters to self*

You might want to put both EC and the other AG on this guy. Also Bio-plasma works wonders on a CC oriented fex.

I can't put EC on them, because they are Elite Fexes, and then they will go over the points limit. I was considering the bioplasma, but then I have to take of the Toxin Sacs, so again, I will think about it.

All I can say is good luck with him. He tends to be hit or miss if he ends up in combat. Best used as support for gaunts because of his Feeder tendrils.

yeah, the Lictor is meant to be one of those SHOOT AT HIM options, I will use him to destract the enemy aswell, and he can be quite fun to play with :)

hmm, I might take of the Iniciative, and then just add more guys, or I can merge the squads together... I will play around with it a little.

hmm, I never though of that. I can then use them, and the broodlord, and that will give some killing power. that is a good idea, I will probably do it.

interesting choice. Never used them myself so no experience with them so good luck with 'em.

I have never used them either, but I picked them because they move (they can move 12", then run, then assault, which means they move between 19" and 24", which is alot), but with the outflanking troops, Tyrant and Lictor, I might change them with Raveners, because they survive longer.

Pretty standard Zoa's right here. Nothing wrong with that.

that is what I like about them :)

yeah, it costs points though...

You cant use gaunts as save? oh well, they are still good with their 3+ save... I might move up to 2000 points at this rate of adding :p I will play around with it a little, might change the gaunts and fexes. I always preffered more gaunts as well, but you can't ever get a list prefect *sigh*.

I took out the lictor because it took up points, and changed the monstrous creatures so that they have Twin-linked devourers, because when they assault they can't run, so what i will do is they will mow down the opponent, then engage any survivers. Also changed the Gargoyles for Raveners because I like Raveners.
