Hey all. I'm new to playing WH40k first of all, and with that I picked up the AoBR box with a friend (and I willingly chose orks). Started playing with a friend at work (tau) and we've played 2-3 small games so far, as he's just trying to get me in the flow of the rules. I love the way the orks look and play, but I figured I would show you guys just a little of what I've got painted so far. Before Touching these guys I had a hold of a handful of fantasy dwarves, but they looked terribly basic. I'm happy with how my boyz have come out so far.
While I've still got this thread alive, does anyone know of any links for conversions of dreadnoughts to deffdreads? I've got 2 dreads from AoBR boxes and I'd like to convert them to something useful for my army.
These are awesome...especially for a beginner. I love the Deffkoptas!! Do you mind if I ask what kinda paints you used and how much experience you have? Is this your first time painting Minis?
Anyways, I really like them...way better than mine so far, but I stopped painting for awhile because I want to get something better than Testors.
In replies to darkzephyr I'm using all citadel paints. For the red and yellow I'm using foundation paints (That I grabbed from a starter kit) and then all the other colors are just regular citadel paints. I've painted a few dwarfs just to get started, but had a much better time painting the 40k boyz as they are so much more detailed. Other than the dwarfs, these are my first time painting detailed miniatures.
