I'm getting tired of doing this but I just am never happy with my list's, with this one I'm specifically trying an idea I've had for a while, we'll see what happens...

I was looking at this list, and it seems to be pretty good. You will have to tell me how your throwing spears and flail combination works on your marauders. The only thing I am really curious about is about the MR from your heroes items applying to your whole unit. Is that really how it works?
Yup If a character with MR is in a unit that is targeted by a spell, then that unit can use the characters MR to help dispell it. I'll be playing this list tonight and will give an update on how it goes, finally got my dragon all painted and ready to go. Based with black, drybrushed with tin bitz and washed with asirian blue, details with bleached bone/skull white and ice blue for his eye's/tongues.
Yeah if I gateway a large target or a unit with a character in it that's a roll, making him even better I would hate to roll a 2 and have 540 points be stupid after gatewaying a unit of templegaurd with a slann in it. :/

The game I played tonight was against lizardmen and I won with a massacre by turn 4.

Basically I flew in behind him, sniped his old-blood down to 1 wound, rot-glorious-rot on his army twice from behind, by the time anything got to my lines it was so weak he just crumpled up like a tin can, mind you on turn 2 his normal stegadon flubbed it's impact hits on my giant and bounced after I rolled 9 hits with "thump with club", and then was run-down by my big guy
Was a VERY fun list to play however it's more of a competitive list and I'll probably not be taking it to friendly gaming sessions...

You only get to roll on the EotG if you successfully kill a character in a challenge. If you gateway the character or unit with the character, you don't get the roll. I don't know about killing big monsters using magic though. That and DP cannot bring FotG, its a magic item.
Favour of the Gods is a magic item. Can Daemon Princes carry magic items?

Did any of your units behave like you didnt want them?
Did you agree to use friendly lists, or was he just bad at writing lists? I see he didnt have a slann to stop your magic.

You're right about characters however Large targets are fair game any time.
The reason he had no slaan is because he wanted to try out a melee centered list because magic is too unreliable for him, Even a slaan would be hard pressed to stop three buboes casting with three dice each in the first two rounds.
In any case I used the nurgle lord on dragon list against him, not the daemon prince one.
To create a melee list versus WoC is very foolish. Especialy when you have one of the best casters in the game on your side (slann). Lizardmen can be awesome in melee because of their good statlines. But when matched with our warriors they get scewered. Point for point they are better, but our guys are better overall points cost aside, so we can just pick our fights and go through them unit after unit.
Well, if you play it to the end, and the dragon and lord have survived with more then 50% of their wounds left, thats 770 points that you are refusing him to have, meaning he HAS to concentrate on destroying the rest of the army to get any victory points at all.
The dragon/sorcerer combo worked amazingly, I know the mace causing terror is pointless, but if you think about it, it makes the sorcerer half decent in combat as poisoned attacks can wound anything, giving him half a chance against melee centered combat heroes/lords IF I get a charge in... Also, his magic can be absolutely devastating, mind you I played against a magic-weak list, I'm going to be playing it against three different opponents tomorrow and trying out some new tactics, we'll see what happens
