Starting up a new Nurgle army and as I want it quite themed, the list Im thinking of will have a Chaos Nurgle Terminator Lord as the main HQ choice.
My question is a simple one, as I havent seen a Chaos Terminator Lord model that wields anything that looks somewhat like Plague Bringer (the special weapon option for Nurgle Terminator Lords), in tournaments would it be ok to use the Typhus model?
I don't see why you couldn't use Typhus ase your Nurgle lord. Just make sure to inform your opponents that he is not Typhus and show them in your list that he is a normal Terminator Lord so they don't go over your list and think you are cheating.
or, u could always try to find the weapon on a bits trade. u never know what random bits other people have. also, check ebay and rogue market. put out a 411 on a typhus sword, and u might just get what u need on the cheap.
Biker Lords and Jump Pack Lords are both scary and flavorful Chaos HQ options.
There's a very good reason why these - and Winged HQs - are so popular:
Walking is a Bad Thing for pricey CC Units.
Plague Bringer (the special weapon option for Nurgle Terminator Lords), in tournaments
That said, the Chaos Termi Lord box includes an "Icon hand".
If I can work out how to make a scythe using this bit, anyone can.
I'd recommend using the included Combimelta bit while you're at it.
(The Nurgle head and shouider pad in the CSM box would look great!)
Once the Daemon Weapon honeymoon is over, the scythe can be downgraded to Power Waepon.
Tourneys are funny things with unpredictable rules. The only fairly certain answer is ...
The Typhus model would *probably* be okay to represent Typhus.
Unless Named Characters are banned . . . :- /
Bottom line - if you don't want to field Ty, don't take him.
If you wanted to, you could then take green stuff, spread it all over the blade, then play with it until it looks nice and decomposed. maybe even have some slime dripping off the blade. It's really up to you, after all it is your model.
