This is the first test job from my Warriors of Madness Chaos marines. All done in liche purple with mithril silver trim. The ankle and wrist armor is left black.
Cool colors but maybe add a mix of purple with some red to brighten and create depth/shades. You can also use watered dont black or brown on the silver to give it depth. Just some easy steps to get a better paint job.LEft a pic so you can see what im talking about
Solid paint job but i would definetley sugest inking to provide shading, and mabey some bolder higlights and moderate blending, ill post a link to my chaos lord whene im done with it for some examples.
Nice and clean, so well done. I echo the others in the use of washes.
Depending on how you want the metal to look, brown wash will make the metal
look dirty, a black wash will help give depth, and a orange wash will make the metal
look rusty. Which i think would look ace on chaos marines!
that's liche and mithril? looks like Scab and Brazen Try maybe getting better pics, mess with white balance on your cam a bit? Sorry, don't wanna sound smart-a$$, just trying to get you to post nicer pics, b/c these don't seem to show the true scheme you describe
Yeah, the color was pretty terrible with the camera. I've done some more work with a second Zerker and did a black wash over both. I think they look better, but a bit more highlighting could help.
Here are two more. he one on the left I finished up the silver and red detailing tonight, and now just needs some touch-ups, highlights and a dark wash to give it some depth. The one on the right was completed over the weekend. I did use the washes and some highlighting, and I think it turned out alright. I'm still getting used to the washes.
