Prince Yriel - 155

I really can't comment on him, as I've never used him. He's alright, but not very fluffy, and you might be better off with a cheap Doomseer or a biking Autarch.

-Fusion Pistol

Wave Serpent - 125

First off, the Harlequins cannot take a Wave Serpent as a dedicated transport, so either they need to steal one from a different unit and make that unit walk, or drop them to 6 and put them in a Falcon. Either way, it's not the most fluffy choice for them, and after 4th edition it's still considered pretty cheesy.
That said, fusion pistols aren't that great on Harlies and not usually worth the points. If you want a mechanized Assault Squad, then Banshees are probably a better bet.

6 Fire Dragons - 108
-Exarch

Good, but just having the exarch for the exarch's sake isn't that great. Give him a Dragon Breath Flamer and Crack shot to make them a bit more versatile, or drop him and just run 5. I've never had a problem taking down a tank with just 5 Dragons.

Wave Serpent - 145
-Brightlance (Twin-Linked)
-Spirit Stones

The bright lance makes the unti too expensive and a huge target. And it puts all of your anti-tank eggs in one basket. Give then a TL Shuriken Cannon (they will be close enough) and move the bright lance to the other Serpents.

==Troops==

10 Dire Avengers - 152
-Exarch, Twin Cats, Bladestorm

Good. One of my favorite setups.

Wave Serpent - 125
-Scatter Lasers (Twin-Linked)

This would be a good place for the brigh lances. Also, give this Serpent Spirit Stones

6 Jetbikes - 142
-Shuriken Cannon

Add another Shuriken cannon to these guys, otherwise it's a good unit.

The upgrades aren't really necessary. Running them naked is better and gives you points to boost the other units.

Overall, a good start to the list. Other than the Harlequin issue, it has a lot of promise. I would drop the Harlequins altogether and run a squad of Banshees in a serpent, or another squad of Dire Avengers in a serpent. Those serpents should have Bright Lances.

As usual, i agree with what the llama has to say. I think that two troop choices in 1500 is risky business, cause the opponent is going to have more than enough fire power to really wreck the DA's and a couple of jet bikes. Dropping those harlies to bashees, and running the fire prisms naked should free up enough to get another troop choice, be it slogging DA's, another bike units, guardians, or even pathfinders.

I've never run Yriel either, but 75 points of doomseer with either the banshees or DA is a much more cost effective way to guaruntee a return on your points, not to mention freeing up another 60 pts for you to use as you please.

Also i'm always a really big fan of upgrading waveserpents to falcons. If you are only running 5 or 6 fire dragons, why spend 40 pts on a TL bright lance when you can upgrade to a falcon for only +25 which gets a free pulse laser (stength 8, AP 2). Personally i really like holofields too, i know that it makes the falcon 10 pts (20 if you buy stones too) more than a lance'd/stoned wave serpent, but it really boosts the survivability of the tank. It makes it SOOOOO tough. So not only to have a transport that carries death, you have a transport that deals and absorbs death too. Honestly, its worth the 20 points to me, taking the upgrades off of the fireprisms is more than enough to pay for it.

Anyway, to recap, scratch yriel for a doomseer, sub the harlies for banshees, and the prisms upgrades for a falcon for the dragons. With the points left over, buy a new troop choice,

I wouldn't suggest a footslogging troop choice here. If anythin, another mounted choice or more jetbikes would be better. That said, two troops isn't horribly problematic. Just be careful with the bikes, as they are the most vulnerable.

As for the falcon, I don't know if the points are worth it. The energy shield on the Wave Serpent makes it very strong against any normal anti-tank weapons. It's certainly something to consider, but in most cases I feel that the points saved with the Wave Serpent are worth it overall.

good point, a foot slogging choice maybe a bad option, imo its still better than just 2 troop choices, but i think falcon vs wave serpent comes down to the opponent's army. I've been playing a lot of marines w/o much in the way of vehicles lately. So most of the stuff that has been shooting my tanks hasn't been lascannons as much as psycannons and heavy bolters and such, so nothing ever goes higher than around a 6. With no means of mitigation the waveserpents have fallen fairly frequently to immobilization and weapon removals while my falcons have been able to stick it out much better because of the 2 die rolls on the damage table.

I don't mean to say that i think you should be cutting down DA's to fit em in falcons, i just think that if you are going to field a small unit falcon's are a pretty good deal. Largely though, these two points come down to play style. Everything else the llama has said i totally agree with.
