im debating on buying a unit of three or not too.
several people have told me they are utterly destructive and a couple have said they are terrible and not worth the money or time to use them because of frequent bad rolls and eating their own skinks. Ive only used them once and they didnt do much for me. I walked them up a flank to try and keep his pistoliers away from my side and they just got shot to peaces which is normal for pistoliers but when i shot back i only got 2 wounds out of 15 shots. then they got shot again

next game i used them was against dark elves. and the dark riders and harpies picked them apart pretty easy and i only shot at one dark rider unit caus eof their crazy movement and it took out the unit but next turn i was charged by another unit and everyone of my razors got a good roll and misfired so none got to shoot so they ate their skinks and then got hit by hatred str 4 and two razors died

anyone else using them good?

you can't write a unit off by bad rolls. Razordons are a nasty surprise to throw at a opponent. Being able to do 2 artillery dice worth of shots and not having any minuses to hit (other than cover/skirmishers) is fantastic. If I didnt love the Salamanders so much, I would definately field them

everytime I have fielded them, they have made up their points. The problem is that Salamanders are just as good, and you only have to field them solo. The creating panic ability is very useful in exploiting the weaknesses in your enemy force.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either one

Yeah it is a bit subjective. Really salamanders are better for the same points, so I would take them instead. Razordons will basically never get charged because of their double dice thing, which can be good or bad. They won't get to use the extra dice but the opponent will be a bit worried about them. Salamanders causing auto-panic with a single wound is just too good to ignore though.

I love both. Razordons always make their points and Sallies frequently do. In my mind it depends on whether you want the points you're spending to be more offensive or a mix of offensive and defensive. Sallies are almost all offense. They can hold their own if charged but really they're there to cause panic tests and at most absorb a round of CC. Razordons however will whittle away at units as well as post a very clear "don't charge here" sign. Not to mention both will usually draw ranged fire away from other units for several turns in my experience.

So I build them into my lists thusly.
