This army list is for anti necron and tyranids please critisise!
HQ
Commander Shas'el - multitracker, airbursting fragmentation projector, fusion blaster, flamer
bodygaurd - flamer, fusion blaster, plasma rifle, multi tracker - 192pts When you equip your suits, you should have a specific purpose in mind. You have all sorts of different weapons here, which is generally a bad idea. Bodyguards are only worth taking at 2000+ points, where your 'elite' choices are filled and you need more suits.
Elite
3 stelath suits - 90pts I'd either give these guys ML drones to make them a stealth marker team or swap them out. I just don't think 3 wounds should ever be worth 90 points.
Troop
12 fire warriors - devilfish - 200pts
12 fire warriors - devilfish - 200pts
12 fire warriors - devilfish - 200pts You should equip your fish with multi-trackers and disruption pods. Those upgrades are SO handy.
12 Kroot - 84pts Good. I'd swap out one fire warriors squad to add in another kroot squad. If you can, put some hounds in with them.
Fast Attack
9 vespids and 1 strain leader - 166pts Hmm. Not a personal favourite, but Zeev is making a real case for them. If they work for you, take 'em, though I imagine they will only be useful against necrons and space marines (loyalist and traitor).
Heavy Support
sky ray - burst cannons - 135pts
sky ray - burst cannons - 135pts Just like the devilfish, these should have multi-trackers and disruption pods. You will also need a targeting array.
1 sniper drone team - 80pts I'm not too fond of sniper drones. If you want to keep them in, go ahead, but there are better choices.
Overall your list is decent. You should read the stickied threads, they are very valuable sources of information. Play a lot of games. With experience, you'll be able to make good decisions.
Same advice as Morbidly, I would make this two diffrent HQs, both fireknives.
Elite
3 stelath suits - 90pts
Again if you take stealth teams they need to be there fore some reason other than to be there, marker-light drones are the best.
Troop
12 fire warriors - devilfish - 200pts
12 fire warriors - devilfish - 200pts
12 fire warriors - devilfish - 200pts
12 Kroot - 84pts
DPs and MTs on D-fish are almost required. Take one squad out and make two decently bulky kroot squads.
Fast Attack
9 vespids and 1 strain leader - 166pts
YAY!!! My favorite little buggy friends. I take them in 6 man squads, or 11 man if you have the extra one.
Heavy Support
sky ray - burst cannons - 135pts
sky ray - burst cannons - 135pts
Need Disruption Pods. All but required for Tau vehicles. I would honestly think about switching one for some Hammerhead tastiness.
1 sniper drone team - 80pts
Take this out, Snipes are ok, but they are quite...worthless...unless positioned perfectly, they also do not have a high enough kill ratio to be worth their points and they take up one of your most important FOC slot
total - 1482 - You have 18 points, you could fill out that Vespid squad
Just to note Morbidly its not that the Vespid do not have a point against things other than Marines and Necrons (which lets face it...you will be facing down alot). Its that they are tailored to kill those two forces. However they do MUCH better in melee against other armies, its just that their guns are nothing special. They become assault bugs instead of shooty bugs.
3 XV8 Crisis Battlesuits - each has: multi tracker, burst cannon, missile pod, and plasma rifle. - 120pts (The idea is to have weapons with a longer range and low ap.)
Troop
12 fire warriors, devilfish with multi tracker and disruption pods - 215pts
12 fire warriors, devilfish with multi tracker and disruption pods - 215pts
Ok the hammerheads are illegal. You need to take a Railgun at 50 points or a Ion Cannon at 15. You also need to take Burst Cannons at 10 points. Also Hammerheads are already equipped with Targeting arrays standard and therefore cannot take another one.
Also your XV8s are illegal. They only have 3 hard-points. 2 for weapons and one for a support system.
What your looking for with them is (Plasma Rifle, Missile pod, Multi-tracker) three will run you 186 points.
Your points are also off on the Battle suits you already have.
You could have 3 weapons and upgrade to 'Vre for a HWMT, though I wouldn't do it because you are only allowed to fire two weapons with the Multi-tracker.
In my opinion, go for deathrain crisis suits (Twin linked missile pods and Flamer), The missile pods deal with most vehicles, and the flamers in case mob troops get close. And their generally cheap and cheerful.
Don't take a Shas'O take a Shas'el with a targeting array. Weapon wise, you wont need to Twin link the Plasma, hitting on 2's generally isnt worth buying a re-roll.
Multi-tracker on the Devilfish is alright, but I'd generally drop it and use the points to bond your fire warriors (leader + bonded).
Two squads of kroot are alright with forests to hide them on, but if not, go for one squad and outflank them.
One Piranha, I've run one fusion for a while, it wasnt worth it. The points can be better used somewhere else usually.
Vespid! If they wern't metal, they'd be in every list I wrote. Love the little blighters, I just wont fork out to buy them.
Skyray : Good. But needs a secondary weapon, I'd go for Smart Missiles.
Hamerheads : Drop one, use a railgun (for its anti-troopness), and Burst Cannons (for the same reason).
Use the points from the other Hammerhead (and Pirahna) for 2 Broadsides, with Advanced stabilisers. Posibally a leader with a shield drone.
3 XV8 Crisis Battlesuits - each has: multi tracker, plasma rifle, and missle pod. - 186pts
Troop
11 fire warriors with 1 shas'ui and bonded, devilfish with and disruption pods - 220pts
11 fire warriors with 1 shas'ui and bonded , devilfish with and disruption pods - 220pts
12 Kroot - 102pts
Fast Attack
9 vespid stingwings, 1 strain leader - 166pts
Heavy Support
Sky Ray - diruption pods, targeting array, smart missle system - 165pts
Hammerhead - rail gun, diruption pods, multi tracker, burst cannons - 165pts
2 Broadside battlesuits with advanced stabilisation systems - 160pts
in my experience xv88's will be swamped by turn2-3 against tyrinids, so my advice is to stick with 2 railheads, just remember to shoot the closet ones that aren't in cover, every tyrinid player i know hates 2 strength 6 ap4 pie plates hitting them every turn taking out almost whole squads in 1 go. even against necrons the amount of wounds you can cause usually drops 3-4 from 1 pie plate (before wbb), other than that i pretty much agree with what everyone has said. good luck
