Ok i use the callidius assasin and i need to know about the timeing of the jump back rule. If i use the jump back rule does this mean if another enemy unit is attempting to charge her and she is tied up they do so before she disengages and so can then jump back leaving both units unengaged or do so after the jump back meaning combat will have to be fought between those two units as normaly while the unit she umped out of may consolidate at the end of the phase. Also if it is my turn and i jump back can i then assault the unit i just jumped out of if in range.

quite complicated though i really need to know this as it affect my tactics in game a lot. Thanks in advance ;)

Just checkin that you mean can your assassin be charged by a separate unit after jumping back from combat with another? If so then no, like fantasy you have to do all charges at the same time, other wise there could be some pretty brutal multi-charges every turn.

Also once she has jumped back you are free to do what you like. Its kinda like s special hit and run.

Jump back is at the beginning of the assault phase, if you jump back on your opponents turn then you can be charged by that same squad unless they are still engaged with another unit. Likewise, if you jump back durning YOUR assault phase you can assault that squad.

is that correct because the unit she jumps back from may only consolidate at the end of the phase it says nothing about being able to charge if left uningaged. Also other units can assualt her if she jumps back because the "at the begining" shows that this ability must take priority time wise. logically it would seem that the unit she left would be confused and the unit that had a larger view of the situation would be able to see what happened. Note though that her jump back can take her out of range of the second units' charge range.

Check the FAQ as well. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA...153_Daemonhunters_FAQ_2004-08_5th_Edition.pdf

In the DH Codex, "Jump Back" starts at the beginning of the assault phase and if the unit is unengaged it may make a consolidation move at the END of the assault phase.

In the DH FAQ it say:

Q. If a Callidus disengages from close combat at
the start of her Assault phase, can she then
declare a charge against an enemy unit?

A. Yes. Conversely, if it is her opponent’s Assault
phase and the enemy unit she was fighting is left
unengaged it is then free to declare a charge.
So in conclusion, yes the assassin can assault and be assaulted after she jumps back, and if the unit she disengages from is still unengaged at the END of the assault phase, they make a consolidation move.

wait so does that mean if you disengage from a unit in there assault phase you can be charged by the unit who you just jumped back from?

Yes. Ergo, don't jump back on their turn if they're not still engaged =P
