Ok I am not a Tau player (normally nids), but can I just check unless I am reading things wrong on a couple of points.

1. Unless agreed with your opponent I am not aware of anything that removes the entry on farsight that he may only be used in lists greater than 1500pts.

2. All of your bodyguard suits will require a hard wired multi tracker to use two weapon systems as they are not relentless.

3. I believe you can only have 3 battlesuit systems, a twin-linked weapon counting as two, and therefore double twin linked weapons are a no no.

If I am wrong please correct me as I have a game with Tau saturday vs orks and Dark Eldar and need to know what I am doing.

1.) Correct, your opponent must agree as our new codex hasn't come out yet(this may change when it happens).
2.) They are relentless(although they cant fire heavy weapons), but all multitracker does is allow firing of 2 weapon systems in same shooting phase.
3.) Unfortunately yes you can have at minimum and maximum 3 hardpoints, and a twin linked weapon counts as 2 hardpoints but is considered 1 weapon.

Hope that helps clarify some issues.

As far as how the list looks, it's ok but could be better.
If you truly want farsight, make it a 1.5k game vs orks, otherwise you'll get toasted by his limitations.

Hello.

Unfortunately for Lokyar, artcritic is right in all three points.
Ad 1) - Rules in Tau Codex specify that O'Shovah can be induced in any army of at least 1500 pts.
Ad 2) and 3) - Correct. Bodyguards #1 and #3 have each 4 hardpoints used, #2 quite contrarily has only 2 hardpoints. XV8's has to have three (3) and only three (3) hardpoints in use. Not two. Not one. Four is right out! Once three, being the third number in order, is reached, everything else must be hard-wired using the 'Wargear' section. And only team leaders and above ('vre, 'el, 'o) can take hardwired stuff. Multitracker is needed if you want to use two weapon systems. But it's been generally agreed, that twin-linked weapons count as one system for purpose of using multitracker (though it still takes up two hardpoints).

Lokyar - I won't judge your list, as I'm a newbie myself, but please read the Tau Codex again. And after that once again. Also read the guides to XV8 and to vehicles at LO - they are really comprehensive and helpful, and most of my knowledge comes from there.

i made new for 1500 cus it would be completely changing it (like 1500 points)

nah
in my GW it mostly Dreads wich are toasted if in CC with Farsight and his bodyguard (if he even makes it through the field of fire)

wait, how is he toasted in cc with farsite? he's only S5 and so are his bodyguards and when fighting any vehicle with a WS value in cc you always use front armor value for penetration (this is of course them being able to rapidly respond to enemy attacks).
now to the list:
your loadouts seem odd to me. why not just go all PR, MP, MT. on that point i'm afarid i may have to point out another illegality, in a farsite army crisis suit units become 1+ and your bodyguard (unless i'm mistaken) don't count in that slot.

also, grammar sir please, I can barely read this last post.

Farsight has S+2D6 against armour in CC, so Dreads can be taken down. My own chap took out a Baneblade with some help from a TL Fusion and a Broadside!

Give him some Bodyguards with Fusion/Plasma/Target array/HW multitrackers/HW Drone Controllers and 2 Shield Drones each and watch the body count grow as this lot get stuck into whatever stands in their way. It's fun to see a bunch of Blood Claws being run off the table by Crisis suits!
