So. my first batch of lizzies arrived today- my block of 30 warriors and my Scar-Veteran. So I can start to paint right!? No.
I am having trouble deciding on a colour scheme. To many people paint them the traditional blue scheme and its well..... to cliche for my liking.
So- I might do the entire army in an.... "Albino scheme" So all the scales/skin are white with red weapons and shields. And gold anywhere else i can fit it.
I am also considering painting my ket units a diffrent color. Maybe black scales with a dark grey skin? I want them to stand out from the rest. SO the banner and the drummer would be black- as well as Scar-veteran and the Skink priest.
Anyway- this is how I plan to paint them.
1. Spray paint white Primer.
2. Two washes with Gryophone Sepia over the scales and skin (PRetty much everywhere but the weapons and shields)
3. 2x (Maybe 3x) Baal red washes over the red areas- this gives a semi-warn and natural tone without drawing to much attention to it like most reds do.
4. Highlighting (Maybe with a codex grey or fortress grey)
5. Paint the eyes
6. Paint the abses
7. Add gold anywhere were appropiate
So the key things I would like to know is if this would be "Fluff acceptable?" For an entire fighitng force to be Albino- and the jet black leaders.
As I paint my test warrior "Jub-Jub" ill be sure to post up here how it is progressing just for some ideas. Ill put this in the painting forum when the test model is finished for fine tunning but till then what doyou guys think?
Thanks!
