So I'm soon going to have a friendly match with a couple of friends, My third match with Skaven so I desided to see how many points I could get up to using all my skaven and this is the army list I came up with

Chieftan
Weeping Blade
75 P

Warlock Engineer
lvl 2 Wizard
Warpstone Armor
Warpenergy Condenser
150 P

30 Clanrats
Standard
Champion
Musician
Spears
Warp-Fire Thrower
225 P

30 Clanrats
Standard
Champion
Musician
Spears
Poison Wind Mortar
220 P

2 Rat Ogres
Masterbreed
1 Packmaster
103 P

20 Plague Monks
Champ
Standard
Banner of the Under Empire
Musician
190 P

Doomwheel

Warp Lightning Cannon

1203 P

Is this army any good? How should I expand upon it?

Yeah, Thats every single Skaven model I own currently. Still working on building the army up in size, Planning to get mayhaps 60 skavenslaves for a horde group. Dunno what else to get, But this is the list I'l be using today in my third ever Skaven match. A BSB might be a good idea, I'l get another Chieftan next time I order models.

I must say that even though I lost both my other two matches with Skaven they have been alot more fun then my old Wood Elves to play with. They can actually do stuff, And they dont die if the enemy sneezes like the wood elves does! ^_^

Oh OK. Yes you will need A LOT of models for a Skaven army :D and welcome to the Under-Empire!

Yes that is a good idea. Oh my god yes I completely know how you feel. Wood Elves 7th was OK because, you know, they actually had a chance of winning, but now I don't even see the point of playing them. Fielding a WE army is setting yourself up for failure and disappointment. The Skaven are the opposite in that regard. Good Luck!

Curses! Clan Skryre betrayed me! The first testrun of the Doomwheel and it missfired, spun out of control, crashed into a house and exploded. The Warp-Lightning Cannon missfired and blew a hole in my allies Goblin group, then missfired twice more! My Poison Wind Mortar missfired and blew up my Plague Monks and my Warp-Fire Thrower missed! Our forces where beaten by the Dwarves and Bretonnian forces!

I hope for a better result on the next match..

Wow, an unlucky game then. Don't worry it happens. You will probably experience at least one misfire per game, even then that's pretty lucky.

The only Clan Skryre unit that I can completely rely on is a large bunch of Jezzails - almost safe (!) and great for taking out that heavy cavalry/flying cavalry/character you have been wanting to take out.
