will then, i have been playing eldar for mabey 6-7 years and i must say they are a very fragile race, u must strike and serten times and bla bla bla but what i realy want to know is how different do the orks play from the eldar??

also what are the pros and cons

it seams like most ork players flintch from stuff like the wrathlord(its flamers) and an hq squade (its heavy flamers)

well any ways, i actualy played orks in 2nd ed but of corse they have changed so much and id like to know how they play

also, the battle force caught my eye, it seams to be the most cost effective also with the ork wartrukk squade

thanks, coldasian

well, the main problem is lack of armour, but you should be used to that with eldar guardians.
their main strength is numbers in assault. a big band of orks in assault is very, VERY hard to stop. also huge numbers mean you can afford to suffer massive casualties and keep going.
plus huge amount of guns is nice, even if you don't hit with them as much.
well, nobody wants to be close enough to orks to use flamers, cos it means somethings gonna get charged!
plus, with ork clans, you can choose a good looking and fluffy army pretty easy.

Orks are an all assualt race, yea you can have the "all shoota boyz" army, but really the orks have to assualt and get in cc with every opponent they face. What's soo cool about da orks is how you get your boyz into cc is all up to you :D . You can go for a speedy assualt useing bikes, wartrucks, battlewagons and stuff like that. You can go for lots of heavy stuff leading your boyz like a whole lot of dreadnoughts and killa kanz punching a hole through the enemy and your boys piling in for da kill. You can do a bit of both. or maybe you can come up with something really cool that i haven't listed. The point is if you want an army that is fun to play, one that you can completelly cutomise to your will, and one that you will get unnatually attached to then orks is the way to go.
