Alright i kno stealth suits are like sneaky troops trying to pin down certain enemies and get behind their lines but how much different are they from pathfinders? No not like stat or points wise, but more along the lines of what they cant and can do. Differently or the same as pathfinders.
well for one thing stealth teams aot active camo on them, in other words, their suits change as they move, so that they are "invisible" or they might be entirely invisible via a cloaking device, but im not sure, either way, they are hard to spot with the naked eye. also they have the jetpacks, so they can fly right over the opposition, with pathfinders its diff. they have to travel via devilfish before a battle starts, to take up positions behind and in cover, so they cant be seen, and stay there, using their markerlights to guide in heavy weaponry like railguns, really they are quite different, stealth suits are anti infantry/ assasins/ special black ops, pathfinders are forward scouts that have specialised weapons for taking down armor

In my army my stealth, pathfinders. and kroot are all my scouts. That is fluff wise.
They are still different however, the kroot scout out through terrain and almost fight their own battle. The pathfinders use their speed in their devilfish to scout the enemy, and are quite inexperienced fighters, retreating back to the main force when enemy is spotted. The stealths scout out the enemy utilising their stealth suits and hold their position when enemy is spotted, providing the first fire on the enemy. My stealths are pretty much crazy.
Of course, on the table top, stealth and pathfinders are extremely different.

that's not true. I've seen battles the FW where charged and defeated, while the charged pathfinders fought to the last man, not being defeated for 3 turns.

Most Fire Warriors are inexperienced, though. They're the grunts. The Tau who have experience are usually the Shas'ui, and most commonly found in Crisis/Stealth/Broadside suits.

if you read the stories you'll find that the FW stand there foe. they have had an inmense training, combined with simulated battlefields, I think there the best trained "basic troops" of all 40K. Read the story on page 54/55 of the Tau codex and you'll know what I mean. they are certainly not inexperienced.

Just because they are trained well does not mean they have experience on the battlefield, sorry. A person can go to boot camp for five years, have the highest level of training possible, but they are still inexperienced when they hit the real combat zone.
As for the Pathfinders bit, look at it this way. They weren't designed for all out combat, game and fluffwise. They were designed to scout out the enemy's location, report back, and markerlight them to death. So, yes, they are inexperienced, like most Fire Warriors, at actual combat.

So...a 15-year-old Tau line trooper has more training and experience then an Aspect Warrior or a Space Marine, both of whom have probably trained longer then the Fire Warrior has been alive?
If you read my army fluff in the army lists, you will notice that each of my 2 teams of 12 fire warriors have less than a years battlefield experience on average, and that's including the shas'ui's five years.
Relatively, the pathfinders are more experienced. Everything I said before still counts.
I'm sorry I interrupted your thread with my fluff. I just thought I'd let you compare it.
NO prob with the fluff stuff, I actually learned alot from u and those other two who kept fighting. Hey thanks guys for the info hope u two can work this one out.
