Hey guys,
I'm converting a Bolter into a sniper rifle, I'm extending the barrel obviously, putting a scope on it, the tau target finder part of something substantial, maybe 2 sm scopes facing back to back or something a little more inconspicuous. See what happens, I'm just wondering if you guys have any cool ideas, I'm thinking of a different type of ammo clip as well. But don't quite know what yet.
Cheers.
Dan.

I have thought about this a bit (mainly the .m40 targeter and stalker shells rather than a sniper rifle, but it may be useful) and figured that the easiest way to do it would be this:

Use the standard targeter from the tactical sprue. Nothing more is needed scope-wise.
Cut off the existing barrel and add a new one (about 5-7 mm long) from the ink tube in a biro.
Remove the magazine entirely.

rather than just extend the barrel why not extend the body and then fit the flash supressor from the heavy stubber from the imperial guard vehicle accessory sprue and the bipod from the sm scout heavy bolter.

you may also want to try to add a proper cheek rest and stock.

but definetly remove the magazine even the russian dragnov and the heckler and koch psg have only a internal fitting 10 round box magazine.
