1500 pts - Pure Daemonhunters

Well, I was bored and decided to make a Daemonhunter army list. I currently have Necrons, Eldar, Tyranids, and Chaos and was looking into Daemonhunters. If I were to start collecting it'd be for tournaments and friendly games. Here's the list:

Daemonhunters: 1500

HQ:

-Grand Master
+Bionics
+Icon of Just
+5 Terminators
=410

This unit will probally deep strike in using the Teleport Homer to prevent from scattering. It's rather expensive but I think this unit is worth it. I added Icon of Just because anything that makes him survive longer can help! Emperors Terot because lots of games I play seem like first turn can play a big role, and Bionics because it also increases survivability. I was thinking of removing Bionics because for 10 pts it can sometimes be useless, but for now im gonna keep it on.

Elites:

-Inquistor
+Psycannon
+Emperors Terot
+3 Gun servitors with Heavy Bolters
-Rhino
+Extra Armour
+Smoke
=197

This unit will ride up in the Rhino, get into position, and blast away.

-Callidus Assassin
=120

Pretty self explanatory here. He deep strikes and goes into CC.

Troops:

-8 Storm troopers
+2 Multi Meltas
-Veteran
+Teleport Homer
-Rhino
+Smoke
+Extra Armour
=170

-9 Storm troopers
+2 Plasma Guns
-Veteran
+Teleport Homer
-Rhino
+Smoke
+Extra Armour
=180

Theres units ride up and set the Teleport Homers unleashing the GM and FAGK squad. After that they shoot the Plasma Guns and provide support fire.

Fast Attack:

-9 Grey Knights
+1 Justicar
=275

This squad deep strikes in and tries to get into CC.

Heavy Support:

-Grey Knights Dreadnought
+Missle Launcher
+Twin-Linked Lascannon
=140

This dreadnought is for mainly anti-tank.

Total: 1493

Comments? Advice? Suggestions? Constructive Critisism?

Edit: Well, I just realized that my army isn't a "pure" Daemonhunter's force because of those Inquistor Storm Trooper squads, but oh well.

Some wargear have small numbers next to them, denoting who may take the item. Emperor's Tarot is only allowed on Inquisitors and Lords.

You can never have too much anti-armor in your list (as people pointed out recently in my own recent list post). I'd switch one set of IST plasma guns for a set of melta guns. And I'd also try to work in another dreadnought, preferably with the TLLC/ML, but an AC can work if you can't afford the extra points for the former build.

waaaaaayyy to top heavy
you need more troops. ists die fast - you wont have a model on the table by the time your ds-ers. the inq squad should have a sage or 2 to make your expensive unit more effective. it doesnt really need a rhino - cant move and shoot and he should be nowhere near the front lines.
imho plasma sucks - you pay to kill your own troops, esp when the higher strength, higher ap (for auto pen), assault, melta weapons are available.

I think plasma guns are great. They have a good strength and ap. It's pretty rare that you will kill your own troops with it, so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't want melta's because of there low range.

I'd switch one set of IST plasma guns for a set of melta guns.

Also, you guys tell me to add more Grey Knights, add more troops etc. but you don't tell me where to get the points. If your gonna tell me to add something, tell me what to do to make points for it. Otherwise its not as helpfull. Thanks.

ok,
lose the rhino on the inq squad.
lose a tp homer (your only dsing 1 unit - and usually non tp deepstriking units still do ok)
because you are not taking a tp homer lose one of the veterans.
emperor's tarot, is risky, but can be fun. you could drop it. bionics - nice to keep the uber lord alive, but not necessary. ...thats stilll probably only 100+ anyhow....hummmmm....
i dont know where you could get the rest. its not a bad list, i like it.

Oh, there're tons of places to recover points in your list. You can afford to drop the wargear on your GM. You can afford to lose a terminator out of the retinue. Get rid of the Inquisitor's unit's Rhino, and drop the Tarot from the Inquisitor. If you're willing to forgo the TP homers, you can drop them and the vet IST sgts because their only purpose is to carry the homers. You can afford to drop up to two ISTs from the melta gun squad.

Taking all the noted cuts might be severe, but in no case has the effectiveness of the affected units been compromised.
