when you ahve a warrior retinue, you force them into hand to hand, which they are not good at. normally, a retinue with 4-5 incubi is fine and dandy in cc (they rock!) some throw in 2 warriors with cannons to soften up the enemy before you assult. the only problem with that is that those 2 warriors cant hold their own and might cause you to take a leadership test.
a squad of just warriors is tricky to play because you want to get your archon into cc but the warriors just cant hold their own. try your tooled up archon on a skyboard or a jetbike so he can fly solo. (where he is best in my opinion) then put a squad of 8 warriors or so in a raider with one of them a cannon. you can add a blaster too if you want, its a safe 5 points. put a dissy on that raider and you have spent about 275pts. this way you have the same fire power you did in your warrior retinue (maybe even more with that dissy) and you still have an archon that can keep up with your raiders and such. an archon by himself does draw more fire, but as long as you protect him at all cost, he'll earn his points back and some.
also, if you want to do just an incubi retinue, use a dracon instead. he'll do just as good with all the right equipment and that 25 points saved can get you another incubi! put them on a raider too. bets cc suqad in the game right there
