Against Chaos you already have received advice.
TK are easy to kill, hard to break. They're lousy fighters and fall to Saurus and Skinks by the dozen. However, given they're undead, they're very hard to break and they cause Fear. The former means you need to kill them to get rid of them. The latter means that our monsters won't scare them off and they do scare our normal troops of. Now Saurus are pretty resilient against it, but when you do run, you lose a lot. The spawning of Tlazcotl helps you against fear. Skinks you need to babysit with their low Ld.
TK archers are bothersome as they do never receive penalties to hit.
Salamanders work very good against TK as they have flaming attacks and they kill lots of skeletons anyway.
Beware of Chariots, they hit hard. But we've got Kroxigor and JSoDs with S7 to instant-kill chariots. Use it well.
Another idea would be to take a Sacred Host of Tlazcotl, which will make your entire army impervious to their Fear.
Finally, look out for things coming out of the ground. TK have several units that suddenly strike from underground and some kind of a banner that can do the same with a unit.
TK magic is strong, very strong. And it's always present. Make sure you have a lot of DD. The Cube of Darkness and the Blood Statuette of Spite also are good weapons against TK magic.
Skaven are a horde army with a number of nasty tricks. Salamanders and Skinks help in horde control. Make sure you have them.
Let any JSoD you have focus on more attacks ipv on high strength.
Terradons to take out some of their nasty tricks as fast as possible also is a good idea.
Dwarfs are tough and have great shooting.
Our Saurus can go toe to toe with them. We hit harder, they are harder to break. Make sure you get off flank charges to break them.
Skinks will not kil much due to superior armour. However, Slayers have no armour. They're a great target for Skinks. They're a prime target anyway since they're unbreakable and hit hard. They can be a damn hinder for our Saurus.
Skinks however are needed for screening jobs. Dwarfs have great artillery and good shooting by crossbows and handguns.
Certainly take Terradons to get rid of some war machines as fast as possible. Remember the new warmachine crews are Stubborn, so you need to kill them to get rid of them.
Kroxigor work as a charm against their good saves and high Toughness.
Two spawnings you could potentially consider for your Saurus are Sotek and the water spawning (forgot the name
). For the first, Dwarfs are slow and generally defensive. You can rely on getting hte charge. For the second, Dwarfs have Initiative 2. With that spawning Saurus too have I2. And hitting at the same time can mean the difference between life and death.
Don't try magic, Dwarfs have a superb magic defence.
Finally, the new Dwarfs have a number of tricks up their sleeve in the form of new Runic weapons, armour and banners. Some of which make our troops slower etc. Don't be over confident on their inferior movement.
Tai'shar
