Hey guys, I know I posted a thread like this a little while ago, but I had a realy cool idea and wanted to see what you guys thought. While trying to decide how to paint my Kroot, I was looking for something that would look nice with snowy bases (that's how I want to base them), so I thought of this: Albino Kroot. I know it sounds wierd, but here's how I would do it:

1 - Undercoat in (would black work? I already primed 'em black...)
2 - Skin in Pale Flesh (Is this the write name?)
3 - highlight with Skull white
4 - Quils are black with (can't decide between Blood Red of Tentacle Pink) on the ends
5 - Gun is boltgun metal and scorched brown
6 - Cloth is Shaodw Grey with ice Blue highlights
7 - Claws are Bleached Bone
8 - Eyes are Blood red

What do you think? Would it work with Black undercoat?

this sounds pretty cool but remember its better to have your kroot look coherent to your tau colour scheme, you should have base colours like start with darker tones of flesh and go up to elf flesh (pale flesh is not a colour, elf is the palest). you should go with a light brown then khaki than bleached for the claws, on and on, models look nicer when you build up to a certain colour isntead of just putting one on, it gives a look of darker ecesses and such.

Hey, sorry to double post, but I need some help. I'm doing what Gw did on the Hive Fleet Leviathan 'nids' Exoskeleton for the skin, and am trying to make a fairly easy transition from black to Bleached bone by doing a a basecoat of scorched brown fist, but the BB still looks patchy and bad when I layer over it! Does anybody know what I should do?
