When you take the Scions of Mars trait, it says "ammend the points cost for Terminator armour to 15pts", does this mean all suits of Terminator armour in your army are reduced by 10pts, or just the ones bought from the armoury (so do normal terminators now cost 30pts, or still 40?)

thanks

Only the ones chosen from the armoury are cheaper..

Wait a moment, I thought the SoM gave another cost for the armour so 1-wound models could take it. Not reduced the cost of armoury termy armour altogether.

Although, why use Terminator armour on the Sergeant only? In sqauds like Command Sqauds, where you can have up to 4 members with the stuff, I'd see a point, but why in a tactical sqaud (or even scouts)? Transport becomes a *****, only 250pts at the least for a simple way to cart your troops around as opposed to the 50pt Rhino. No more sweeping advance either.

Oh wow, a 2+ save and a 5+ invulnerable save! Definately worth the many disadvantages compared to artificer, which allows full access to the armoury (apart from chainfists, but who cares?) still.

It's not a flame, it's stats with a human touch. ;)

Its a bit of a fluff thing, the original rules for SoM being available to IH only after-all. (Way back when fielding a termy as the sergeant was the scariest thing imaginable. Way back in second/third edition without mixed armour rules and such...8))

Oh, well, ok.
To me, a tactical sqaud with a Terminator sergeant just screams out 'shoot ME!'. True the 2nd & 3rd edition rules may have had mighty mighty Terminators, but nowadays, something to scare me to sleep would be the Sergeant being allowed to have the weapons from the sqaud (a meltagun, master-crafted, for instance).

Bloody 4th edition ruining Terminator armour! Now it's only good in a full squad!

I wasn't advocating it. I was simply curious to its implications. Seems pointless to me.
