Ok, I've been a DH player for about a year and have expanded into the SoB's. I've been playing around with some small squads in small games for about the past 2 months. For an upcoming battle (possibly tourny) I've assembled this list...
I disagree with this. The First squad of Seraphim are dedicated tank hunters so you'd only be wasting valuable anti-infantry firepower if this squad was bulked out. However I do agree with hs5ias on the Evicerator for the first Seraphim squad, in event that the first two melta pistol shots fail you can always rally to close combat as a last resort.
However, Pathofskulls is not without point. You can bulk out the second Seraphim Squad to increase anti-infantry offensive power.
Lastly from me, you seem to have two Battle Sister squads dedicated to anti-tank. If this is the case how about dropping the second Melta Battle Sister squad and replace them with Dominions with two Meltaguns and a VSS with Book of St. Lucius. You reduce the squad size consideraly (saving you 55pts on top of the 40pts you already have spare), thus not wasting less anti-infantry bolter fire and giving you back some points to afford more stuff. Easily enough points there to make yourself another Cannoness for an additional 2 faith points or spend it on weapons upgrades etc....totally up to you.
An evisc would be a very good idea for the sera vss. This would enhance both their cc and AT capabilities. A power weapon on the other sera vss would not go amiss either. Alternatively combi-weapons on the battle sister VSS's are a way to use some points. Apart from this this is a very tight and hard list. The fire support DH Inq squad is a nice way to get what is in practice four Heavy Support slots.
... or you could use those saved points to get an assassin of some sort! Evisceraotrs are excellant value, and if you could get the points, i would equip both Seraphim VSS with one. They make them really dangerous in combat. As you have 3 exorcists, i would consider dropping 1 of the meltagun sister squads and possibly swapping them for a unit of celestians. they are a bit more expensive, but you can take them in smaller squads and you could gear them for infantry with a heavy bolter and a stormbolter.
Don't attach the second Canoness to the Dominions. The Canoness is a cc fighter, and the Domins are not. In fact just drop the Domins and get a squad of Celestians instead. They will support her in cc better, and can also take 2 meltaguns at a lower price, which will pay for their higher cost per model.
There arn't really enough points to add a celestian unit instead of that squad. Maybe changing the Cannonesses weapon to a more shooty type would be a better solution than changing a whole squad.
I was going to attach the second canoness to the dominos for tank busting goodness. I only took the second canoness for the 2 additional FPs. I planned on using the eviscerator and the 2 MG in the dominos for tank busting fun...but any other suggestions??
