Horray! Real blood and Gore! :w00t:

Hey you did a good job on that wound there... Actually it's real blood.

Ok enough with my jokey side... A whole centimeter? that seems kinda deep especially for the thumb, unless it was at an angle.

Get well soon! :D

God, that stuff on the DG forum is brutal! I got halfway down page 2 and had to stop. Sweet Jesus.

Hope you feel better soon HeZu, I have yet to sufer any serious injuries, so don't actually feel your pain, feel for you, or any of that other stuff. Get well soon though.

I feel your pain man, a few months ago I was trying to cut vehicle parts out of the sprue with an xacto knife, new blade and all. I made an oops and went straight to the bone. Feeling metal scrape on your bones is sooo very not pleasant!

I wonder if the Imperium gives wound medals to the brave craftsmen who build their tiny armies? :D

I did that once, One time i was trieng to scrape the hole in the turrent from a land raider crusader bigger so it would fit on and WHOOPS! cut right into my thumb and cut a little into the fingernail. On the BG forums a guy dropped his set of pin vices on his member >.<   I dropped a  Vennerable dreadnought on my memeber (full metal kit) then tripped on my foot running down the stairs to get the ice pack. I didnt do any damage to my member it just hurt ALOT and i broke my arm. My little brother was rolling on the floor laughing. Oh and this one time i accidentaly washed my brush out in my soda >.< paint does not taste good:x lol

My worst injuries came from using my pin vise. Impalement. Nothing hurts worse I believe. I found out that my vise has different housings that help hold my bits in place and thus less pressure is required. It's all about finesse and I'm no longer an amature, serveral punctures later.

yeah, i'm no newbie on the fields of bloody modelling krieg, sure i had the usual glueing fingers together, glueing fingers to miniatures, ripping fingers of miniatures, leaving bits of skin on said miniatures.

But i also have the veteran scars of putting a new sawblade in my saw... slipping and dragging my hand over the blade... cut my pinky open... i'm gonna sue GW! that's it! they made me addicted to a dangerous pasttime!

as well as the usual stuff superglue and pricks, i accidently sat on a fully assembled bloodthrister as it sat in my chair, let me say that i had trouble sitting down and going for a number two, yup, it hit there as well...

aahh well, you know what they say;"Blood for the Blood God!"

still i can laugh at it now but, still got the scars to proove it!

heh, I hae a few good ones. I was once using an electric drill to pin a model, and ended up drilling straight through my hand, somehow I missed the bone though. Nearly put my eye out clipping a guitar wire, the piece I clipped flew off towards my eye and left a nice cut on my eyelid.

Always cut away from yourself....and don't hold the model between your knees.

I cut into my leg once with a minature motorised circular saw while cutting the head off a metal figure. The doctor retrieved a piece of 'mince' from the wound before bandaging me up. I always use a small vice now for holding the figures and keep my legs clear.

Another time, I sat on a tube of superglue, welding my left buttock, underpants, jeans and a sofa cushion together. It took a looonnng time in the bath to soak it all off.

Ha. The worst non modelling related injury I have is my neighbors cat bit through my thumb, the tooth went in the top of the nail and out the bottem, did really notice it until I looked down, and man that HURT. I also have a 3" scar on my right arm, 3 scars the form a triangle on my right middle finger, and hundreds of other scars on my hands and arms. Damn dangerous hobby!

Heh, I can handle the knife but not, paint or acid...

Once I was adding ink to a model, something don't remember what fell from the table, I bent down to pick it up, I hit my head in the ink pot => ink everywhere, even in my eyes, which was kind of nasty.

A couple of months ago I was giving my SoB a spray of 'Ard Coat, not careful with the aiming, outside as I was the spray was everywhere. Mad with myself I was hesitating, breathing deeply and the spray was all in my lungs... I could feel it for days later.

A couple of days ago I was stripping color from some models. As I played with acetone the model got all shiny and new as before. Aahh, lunch time... Went for a meal with hands not washed well enough. After a while I felt like I would puke, I ran to the toilet, emptied my stomach and felt sick for the rest of the day...

I haven't been in any serious cutting accident though, only the common wounds on the tumb...

alright, i'm just gonna hijack this thread and steer it back towards my self-absorbed whining:

it's been 2 weeks since it cut my thumb, the wound closed about a week ago and it's starting to look like it's gonna be a nice scar (yes, thats a good thing)

The bad thing however is that i lost feeling in a part of my thumb :O in retrospect mayby going to get it stitched wouldn't have been such a bad idea... i hope i regrow some nerves in there

@Hezu
dont worry about the nerves, eventually they'll regrow. The major factor is how far of the furthest point they are cut of, cause nerves do grow but very very slowly.
If i recall correctly, it's in the order of a millimeter a year or so, but need to look that up. Best hope they regrow onto the rest of the nerves, recreating connections.

wow, that's good to know... i lost feeling in the little edge of flesh nest to my thumb: the blue part on the pic

Yeah... should be about a year. Although I'll say that that shouldn't be too much of an issue, I mean it's a pretty small, non-essential part of your anatomy.

Oh, and last week my cat got herself primed, by screwing around with my spray cans. My Chaos Black has a pretty sensitive button, and I'd left the cap off.

I just heard a 'PSSHHH!' sound, a yelp, and then my cat runs upstairs with one side wet and completely black. And this is a cat with black and grey back and white underside, so it was easy to notice.

'Lost: Cat. About five pounds. Black and gray on back. White on belly. Completely black on left side of body. Looks more retarded than this -> {goofy}'

Being to totally superstitous gamer that I am I added 8 drops of blood into my blood red paint pot. When I played my Khornew amry after that I won the next 12 games played.
Welcome to LO, you very disturbing person. I wouldn't add anything besides water to my paint, as I don't think blood mixes well with anything.
