This is my first attempt at a tournament list, I've only played a couple 2000 point games so far, and my 2000 point army is basically the same but has an extra battle sister squad.
My main questions for some of you experienced withchunter's players are
1. Are the auspex's worth it? i know they'll rarely let me shoot at anything, but i figure when i do get lucky and get to shoot with a squad, they'll probably inflict some serious damage. Or should i just take them out and add a celestian?
2. I was thinking about inducting an imperial guard platoon with some lascannons to give me more long range firepower. Do you think i'll need it? I'm worried that the static imp guard will not work well with the mobile sisters. I'm also worried they'll seem kinda out of place.
I'm open to any other advice anyone wants to offer as well
I think the squads could be split into 10 girl squads and put into rhinoes for a mechinized list. it would seriously increase your chances of getting the meltas into range not to nemtion rapid firing for th sisters.
possibly I would also loose the cc weapons on the sister superiors and instead just opt for the tactic "don't get stuck in cc no matter what" tactic. focus on what your good at. -short range shooting.
have you considered adding flamers to the squads? with smaller squads and rhinoes you could make your basic sister squad look like this. with a faithpoint you can make the flamer not only ignore cover saves but armor saves too and then you have one nasty flamer...
1 flamer
1 melta
7 bolters
1 sister superior with bolter
excorsists are good but give them extra armor or something and they become alot better.
being a footslogger you do manage to get an awful lot of power armored girls but you will loose them in droves walking wher you want to go.
Wow expensive. I recommend dropping litanies of faith and the Rosarius's, in exchange for Cloaks of St. Aspira. Cheaper still effective and don't forget there is faith that allows you to make her save invulnerable if needed. On the second Canoness I would drop the master crafting, its more expense then she really needs.
Like Process said, drop these girls down to 10 per squad and put them into Rhinos, granted a footslogging army of sisters with 3+ saves is hard to take down. But, manuevering them through terrain is going to be no easy task, and you can't expect all the tanks to just come charging at you unless its a monolith. Auspexes are okay, but they aren't super necessary maybe on two squads each squad placed somewhat where your opponent might use the terrain to his advantage.
I think at 1750 you could get at least 6 smoked rhinoes filled with sisters and still afford the two excorsists and the hqs. but consider putting as little points as possible into the HQs they arent that good at anything compared to other army HQs and mostly contribute faith to the army. make them cheap and keep them as counter charge units if things turn bad. that is if the "stay out of cc for the love of the emperor tactic" fails which it usually does at some point...
You know what would do this list some good is some Seraphim just for speeding flamer/bolter/ap1 firepower <-- via divine guidance. And their hit and run capability.

Ok, here's my new list. I only own 1 rhino so i can't create a mechanized list. I do plan on proxying some rhinos at some point and trying them out. Unfortunately i won't be able to buy any rhinos for a couple months as my funds have dried up.
I took the hq's rosarius' away, and took away the master-crafted from the one with the eviscerator, that freed up aroun 80 pts. I took away two eviscerators and put in a heavy flamer, and gave the veteran a combi-flamer, this should deal with troops better. The other two squads i left the eviscerators in to help deal with dreadnaughts or other big things that come closer than i'd like. Added extra armour to the exorcist's. I changed the celestians out for dominions with melta guns. I thought i needed something that could get to things like basilisks or landraider's. I can just as easliy swap them out for a celestian squad though.
to pathofskulls: i'm not a huge fan of the seraphim, i just don't like how expensive they are for what they do. I've seen them used by a couple other WH players and they didn't perform too well. Maybe they didn't know how to use them. They just don't float my boat. but thats just my oppinion
After a little math you have enough sisters here to run 6 squads of 13, spread out the fire and the damaging effects of rapid fire. More then half the squads will still make it within rapid fire range.
that is something that i will try in a couple of my upcoming battles. I have thought about spreading them out into smaller squads.
The reason I initially put them into bigger squads was because I was thinking that when I used divine guidance I'd have more bolter shots in the bigger squads and that would make divine guidance have a bigger effect per faith point.
However you are right that dividing them up will also divide my opponents shots up, and also give me more flexability in where i can take them, and where i can shoot them. It will also give me more flexability in taking objectives.

You also have to remember that big squads are hard to manuever, I don't know what the terrain will be like on your battle fields but I know personally playing nids big broods are hard to manuever.
And the more squads you have the more you can target of his force and the more he will be pressed to spread out his fire thus making his shooting less effective.
Not to nemtion the fact that more squads = more special weapons. If you are running footslogging I have to take back that about flamers. you will rarely be allowed to stand that close without getting charged while moving into flaming position. go all out melta and have fun when they shout "noooo not 16 meltaguns!!!" it always crcks me up that
