I was out of town until last night. I took the liberty of adding my army list, AFG. If I was supposed to take a penalty, let me know and I'll adjust it.
Tough call on this one. The goblins have lots and lots of numbers. However David did specifically state that his army is for "goblin killin'".
What this is going to come down to is if David can get his units into the right combats. THe dryads should have no trouble with the goblins, but need to be careful of the faatic in each. They need to worry about those ogres who can dd a little extra punch.. Also, magic will be completely in the hands of Pheonix once those dispell scrolls are used. On top of that David will have to catch at least some of the spider riders which will be no easy task as only his glade riders can really do it. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the goblins have two spear chuckas and a chariot to whittle down David's number just a bit before he can make it into combat.
For all this, I'm going to say Forest Spirits. Against all of what I said above, I think that the forest spirits are still the perfect solution against goblins because they are pretty sturdy, and they cause fear. If the spirits can take down the first wave and send them running, panic can spread throgu their ranks like wildfire leaving them to choose their targets well.
going with goblins, they have magic shooting and lots of troops. those 2 spear chukkers will take that treeman down and the dryads will fall to fanatics/CR
This is really tough, the gobbos will swarm all over the tree things, but the forest critters are fairly hardy and fear causers to boot...
I think in the end the large number of fear causers and the hardiness of the treekin will enable them to send the low Ld gobbos running for their lives, but I think it will be a close fought thing. So the Wood Elves (are there even any elves in that list?) take it.
the tree man makes it tough but i still have to say that the gobbos will win, they have more than enough shooting, loads more magic and dare i say it, could actually keep up with wood elf manouverability, the skirmishing rule will help the wood elves but he wont be able to dodge those fanatics, and the goblins have enough hammer to stop everything including that damn tree man.( i hate those things!)
I'm going to say WE purely because of their maneuverability they will be hard to catch where you want them so fighting will be on their grounds which i think will lead them to victory.
