Ranged Weapon Mutants

If I take an army of only six different types, then every second ripper swarm can become a mutant.

Then for 19 (at S3) or 22 (at S4) points I give them a venom cannon (S5 or S6 with three shots at 36" range  ).

The major problem will be converting them (the gun is ten times the size of a ripper).

That would be an interesting conversion project. Maybe you could place a spare VC on the vipper base and somehowhave the ripper models grown into the cannon so they are all carrying it. Weird, but doable.

Though remember, the Rippers have a rather atrocious BS... Approximately 1 of the three shots per base of VC Rippers hit, and I wouldn't consider that a very good investment. (N)

No, I think AA just had a bit odd grammatical structure... 8)

Essentially what I believe AA tried to say was "They aren't that accurate and can't be fired on the move either" in reference to HB abilities, not VCannon.

Thus the VCannon as an Assault weapon would be better, since yes, it can move and fire (and assault). =)

Umm yeah. I know it's a little odd because "different to venom cannons" is a non-negated statement, while the word "either" is most commonly used in combination with a previous negated statement.

As a sidenote, in my native language positive reiteration ("too" in English) and negative reiteration ("either") are based on the same word, explicitly negated in the latter case ("auch" and "auch nicht"). Essentially it's "not too" instead of "either".

Enough lingustics for today ;)
