I undercoated my sisters black, then drybrushed their armour boltgun metal, then washed it with bestial brown, and painted the cloth parts with a mix of goblin green and black.

This made dark clanky looking armour with the dark green cloth actually standing out quite well. Then I painted their skin very pale, washed it with a blueish grey colour, and did their hair dark brown to black. They look like nightworlders, very dark and menacing.

Looks good I think.

paint scheme

I made my Preceptory a branch of the Order of the Sacred Rose, and followed their paint scheme except for the robe: where the canon robe is black, I made mine a very dark purple (nearly black). It has a nice effect.

My basic Sisters color scheme is white armour, with red robes and gold highlights. Some variations I've done so far include having my celestians all helemted and painting the helmets gold, and my Seraphim blue robed with silver highlight to differentiate them a bit more. I've only recently gotten really heavy into getting my sisters painted (just finished my Exorcist yesterday, boy was that a task), but I see myself geting my Sisters painted long before the Dark Eldar force I've had for years. However that my simply be due to numbers, I have SOOO MANY Dark Eldar, the thought of painting them scares me...

i wanted to do white sisters, though how do you paint your tanks? do you do them all white or do you build up the colours like on the models?? as i didnt want to just leave it white like after white spraying it as i feel it looks cheap, and building up the colours would take a very long time on a mass scale and you probably would be able to see the brush strokes (depending on the strength of the colour)

My brother did his in black armour with gold trim (all the little icons an shiney bits) then painted thier robes a deep purple. It looks very cool, very ominous looking and the purple and gold definitely give them that "church" feel.Don't be afraid to use colours you've never seen before. There are no set rules to what colour an Order should paint thier armour.Paint 'em green. :p

I use my tow favourite colours. Purple and varying shades of blue. The Armour is Shadow Grey, with Space Wolves Grey Highlights (gold for the superiors and cannoness) and purple robes. My Bolters are silver. They are "The order of the Blessed Sword".
