This clan is for modern day vampires, Neo/Pagans including Witches, Wiccans and Shamans, Dark Minds, Goths, Satanists, modern day Succubi/Inccubi, Occultist and theologists as well as for the Bantu, The Elder’s, Rastafarians, the Vodun, free-thinking pioneers, alchemists, Pow-Wows, The Inuit, Confucians and those of Secret Societies and Orders etc (anyone who comes under the general Occult classification of ‘the awakened’). Basically this is a clan dedicated to those of ostracized thinking and those with any knowledge of Theosophy, metaphysics, ancient belief systems or ancient manuscripts such as:
The Lesser Key of Solomon
The Egyptian book of the Dead
The Book of Chaos Monasticism
....and so forth
This is a clan to discuss, debate and share interoperations and theories over some of the more popular texts and ideas. As well as discuss your own unpopular beliefs and ideas. As well as your experiences, study and observations within these areas, for those who wish to share it.
It will also be interesting to hear of anyone into quantum physics who apply this to contemporary magick. Or those that practice chaos magic systems, enochian etc.
If there are any open members of The Golden Dawn on this site I would personally like to ask a few questions to you.
First off does anyone practice or study any Occult/Energy manipulation rites themselves here?
Not me the closest i have got to any of that is my recent purchase of the very interesting book called "The Enclopaedia of Witches and Witchcraft". Gives a detailed history of the Inquistion, Witchhunts, Rituals such as Black Masses and Modern Day "free thinkers" Leaders of several churches such as Wicca in America and other juicy information.
To be honest though i have not heard of half the stuff in your previous post so i don't think this club is for me. You need more enlightened people

Mel, you are my hero(ine). I practice an energy manipulation/alternate reality form of Magickal manipulation, which I have been hesitant to talk about until now, for fear of people thinking me insane(or knowing me to be insane, shhh don't tell anyone ). I can use my own acquired magickal knowledge to cast sigils, smaller spells, protective and destructive runes, and I have learned to use battle magick, which I keep my closely guarded secret, until i have found a place to talk openly. I have yet to take my magick manifest itself in reality on a large scale, but I have been able to shut off streetlights, cause "mysterious" gale-force winds to blow through on a sunny day, and once, made my stepdad puke his guts out (completely sober) after he angered me greatly and disrespected me in front of my family. SO... I do practtice the (somewhat) dark arts, if you can even call them that, but in basics, mine is a form of Chaos Magick which I have twisted to suit my own ends.
And also, I have taken a look at wicca, and some other arcana around, but IMO, Wicca is but a "stepping stone" on the way to greater power.
If Knowledge is Power, then Genius is Tyranny.
Well I am glad to be of some assistance to you anticoch. You said “And also, I have taken a look at wicca, and some other arcana around, but IMO, Wicca is but a "stepping stone" on the way to greater power. Do you feel that Wicca and Witchcraft has become more of a teenage boundary towards the arts and sciences? I think that Witchcraft has lost more of its ancestral supremacy than gained it. Your comment seems to sum it up as just a stepping stone, but perhaps nothing more than that. I think Witchcraft has turned out these days a more lighter way to see the arts and more like a child’s restraint than a beginning. The works of Silver RavenWolf and perhaps scott Cunnigham (both extremely talented and well respected authors even by myself) are prime examples of this ‘new approach’. I think that Witchcraft has created a branch of its own these days towards the arts and sciences, there seems no more depth to it. I don't think that wicca can compare to the more depthed sciences anymore such as the practices of alchemy, enochian magick, chaos etc, yes Witchcraft can and does utalise these methods but its most popular form is sympathetic magicks which seem is just scratching the edge of energies. What do you think?
bit of an interesting clan you're starting up mel.
as you may well be aware i am a follower of the Asa and Vanir (norse gods). although i have never been able to get my hands on any books except for a quick flick through the necromonicon i am interested in learning about different magick/dweomer systems.
the problem with wicca is that it has been adapted into mainstream culture and has lost it's credibility. theres just something annoying about when people call the futhark alphabet "witch runes".

And in that case what mytholgy???
I spent a year and a half studying very old and still surviving polytheistic religions..does that count?
As fars as the whole Wiccan thing my cousin is a pretty dedicated Wiccan..I've spent a lot of nihts with her trying to find out more about her beliefs..it's really kind of sad what the ostracized youth sub-cultures of America have done to it..it's a perfectly credible religion as far as i can see but the depressed masses of goth kids have turned it into a trend..
Yes, Wicca, is not a stepping stone, i just used that as a euphemism. it's cowards and posers magick. Only those who have heard of the Arts and Sciences and think it would make a fun little game turn to wicca, witchcraft and other such BS. Wiccans are mostly trendy goths, like edicius said, and little depressed pseudo-intellectuals that want to defy the christian moral standard by wearing a pentagram and pretending to do some modicum of spiritual self-cleansing. Most of those rituals wish to invoke some small weak godform, mostly referred to as The Goddess, to perform some pithy act like make someone fall in love with them, or to achieve inner calm. These small Godforms and this Goddess are probably but Servitors(not the machine-men from 40k, but small daemonic or spiritual forms summoned by other magick users.) Some of the sigils they cast are notable, but lack any substance or actual empowerment. Wicca used to be a notable approach to the Arts and Sciences, but lo and behold, time has whittled it down to a poser's art.
Wiccans do use magick, don't get me wrong, but it is of such a weak scale that it could be likened to the table scraps and crumbs from a True Chaote's grand feast.
So, I repeat, Wicca = Poser, Chaos = Power.
The type of Magick that I practice comes off on several levels. Everyone has unlimited power, unfathomable strength that can destroy stars and entire worlds. The only thing keeping us from this power is our own Human vices, our weaknesses and the sheer undeveloped state of the Human psyche and consciousness. The Magick I practice is solely meant to develop and build upon these flaws in an otherwise perfect design. I train night and day, through meditation, mental conditioning, and emotional curbing, to bring myself closer and closer to the ultimate power.
...But this power does not come free. Once your power attains a certain level, you begin to... sense things. Bad things. People say that Daemons do not exist in this world. Oh but they do. They fight for young Chaotes' minds, and often challenge those with substantial power, and this is not an occasional thing. Every day I come in contact with some form of spiritual presence, be it good or evil. SOme I have been able to defeat and bind to my will, if only for a short time. Others that i can't control i destroy. So begins the life of a Chaote, and Magick user.
For 3 years I have trained in these Arts, and learned much about this world that is unseen, and many times has it driven me near to insanity. Many times it has almost killed me, and many times has it saved me as well. True magick is a tool, only to be used by those who have the strength of soul, mind, and body. I believe that Belief is your tool, not a shackle, chain, or leash. And, unlike how many misguided fools may think, this life is not an admissions test to some higher place.
If Knowledge is Power, then Genius is Tyranny.
I suppose having knowledge within any mythology and most certainly in polytheistic religions counts.
Actually across my experiences I have met only a few gothic Wiccans. In fact the more common stereotypical image of the wiccan I have found is a ‘teenage (or younger) girl, perhaps not the most popular person in her school, that has high standard morals but yet of a slightly immature nature and quite the opposite to a goth and often quite a girlie girl all ‘light’ loving’. I am not saying that Witches and Wiccan’s are weak but I do feel that because of the new contemporary outlook the pagan media has created over withcraft it has turned out as ‘a religion made for teenagers’. I am not trying to criticise Witchcraft as it is one of my major aspects (Green Witchcraft and Celtic Wicca) of my beliefs and practices, although I will say also that I am obviously not full Witch as I do not believe in all its principles...likewise I think there are truly very few real Witches or Wiccans as most seem to know very little of its actual meaning or might of just read one book on it, cast a few spells and labelled themselves it, many these days are just posers.
Also however I suppose when coming to the question of ‘power’ we must consider how we can judge something as ‘more powerful’? By effectiveness and result perhaps? Because the main idea of something that is powerful is more of something that is ancient (and although yes using ancient rites and so forth that has calculated masses of energy over the generations is a powerful tool, but this has not always been proven correct), something ceremonial (long complicated rites, extravagant tools and materials, with masses of overly prepared and experienced practioner’s have not always come out with the best results as lets say a solitary practioner using standard simple magick) etc.
I work upon power with something that utilizes science. Witchcraft says that it does this but so far I have not found a single media that explains exactly how in great detail. Since you seem to know about Chaos Magick I will use that as an example. Many forms of Chaos magick does however use the principles of quantum physics as well as applied general physics, and due to its actual fact rather than just theory I view this as a powerful tool.
Therefore I conclude that my general principle of what exactly is something powerful is something that has proven to be effective within obtaining its undertaking as well as something that is based on actual proven fact.
And I most certainly agree that with knowledge and ability comes responsibility and most often the case certain negative’s along with the ride. But most of us should of been aware of this from the start.
