Right here we have a horde of ideas for the AoD, yet how many of them are guaranteed a spot in the bloodfest? Answer: 2.
There are so many awesome ideas that have been (imo) overlooked/forgotten about.
Several ideas included:
1) Chariot races
2) Team battles (I still like the tag team concept- we could even go to other sites and gather representatives to fight us/each other/either/whatever ie: 4 WSers vs 4 LOers etc)
3) Monsters duking it out with each other (OK, I guess that could fall as my responsibility)
4) I'm assuming STD still hasn't found those girls.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not moaning, whining, complaining or anything, I just think the above ideas (and those I missed) have been unjustly treated and could use the breath of life.
And ideas that have been pointed out elsewhere include:
1) Overpowered superheavyweights (an all you can eat on points)
2) Gladiators (the other end of the scale)
What say you on these?
Cheers for the Rep.
Any ideas particularly appeal to you? (tbh I like Idea 2 best to date).
For me, the term finishes in a month then I'll have 2 weeks of writing horizons.
When is the summer AoD beginning out of interest? The Magic and Monster are almost ready to go, so if we get the main event kicked off. Then a few of these run as side projects possibly?
I guess we're waiting for Dave to decide when to start registration, as well as stuff like numbers (I still like 32, but that would be a crapload of writing) and sideshows.
We're ready to kick off, bar a few entrants who have yet to finalise/submit their characters.
@STD (if you're reading): What do you have planned for the Narrative of the arena? If you want, I could write up something and PM you a copy (assuming everyone's still fine with me doing the curtain raiser).
I'm done teaching June 6, which is when I can devote more time to this. STD teaches, too, so he should be done very soon, though I obviously can't speak for him. I'll PM him and ask him to pop in here and we can get this ball rolling. The sooner, the better it seems.
