This thread is for everyone to talk about this years Eurovision! if you missed it (It was last night) you can go on their home page (Eurovision Song Contest 2008 Final | The Final | Eurovision Song Contest - Belgrade 2008) and have a look around. I've attached a poll to see who you think should of won this year as well (remember, dont vote for your own country). Now, do you think that Russian deserved to win (I think YES:party?
1.you can't vote for the country that you came from (you know, to keep it fair, I'm Australian/ living in Norway)
1.Russian is actually Russia

This is why Terry Wogan is considering quitting doing the Eurovision coverage for the BBC, and he's been doing it practically forever. The only possible thing that could save Eurovision in the slightest is if Bill Bailey enters next year...
Nothing can save eurovision, it's a complete farce.
Indeed it is. A few friends came over and we thought we'd watch it as it would be good for a laugh, but after about two and a half songs we were totally fed up and changed the channel.
true, its all true, The Scottish and Irish vote for England, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden and Norway have an alliance, the eastern countries vote for Russia (). so its really, the country that has the most friends (Russia), wins...They should change it so that the AMOUNT of votes is what gives the points, not the PERCANTAGE...
I have to say, Ireland should have won it. But seriously, even our green country's voting was obvious. 8 points to UK, coz we're neighbours.

I think all you people are taking it a bit too seriously, lets face it, Eurovision is NOT a serious contest. Never has been.
I didn't watch it however, as my TV isnt tuned in (for a variety of reasons, a lack of a working ariel being chief among them).
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.Originally Posted by A news vendor's stand, London, June 1940
