I have become dis-illusioned with my name. I chose it way back when I had a small scale painting business in my spare time. I'm now in my 4th year at vet school and have barely enough time to eat breakfast, let alone paint other peoples models.
There are also many far better painters on the site and I don't feel I can compare myself with them at the moment. My painting has slipped over the last few years because (I believe) I've been focused on army painting rather than actually painting well (I've painted maybe 3-4 armies over the last few years, on top of school work and paid jobs).
So.... Time to get re-branded. I've had a couple of thoughts but I'm keen to hear other peoples' suggestions.
My thoughts were-
The Baron (which I got attached to playing SI),
Let me hear your thoughts!!!
ps. There'll almost cetainly be a poll on this later. It's also good to avoid game-orientated names. I'm not so keen on Sicarius1647 for example.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Baron von Sturgeon.
Combining the best of Barons, Surgeons, and Fish everywhere.
Take it from me, TPM - once people know you by one name, it's going to be really hard to shake it off. I've tried on a couple occasions and it's gotten to the point where I just don't even think about attempting it anymore. I personally say stick with your current name, because most of us know you by it.
But whatever you decide to change your name to, you'll still always be The Paint Monkey to me.
Better check there, AFG
I'd say stick to your current name, most of us that know you, know you by that name, like no one could remember Lost Nemesis' new name so he had to switch back anyway, What's wrong with The Paint Monkey?
Yes - stick to your name
The Gamer Formerly Known as The Paint Monkey
I vote for sticking with paint monkey, because, to be honest, the name doesn't suggest you're a serious painter to me, but rather a screeching monkey flinging globs of paint everywhere.
Stick with TPM. You ain't gunna be able to shake that one off, mate.
