Who in the UK has been watching this? Final part tonight (I'm sure you'll find it on youtube), what are your thoughts to it then?
Personally I like it. Last night took a bizarre twist, but still was a good episode - a few good laughs I found in it. I do however think that it looks a bit too clean and new; their quarters for example was pristine white. I think the old series looked grubby and worn, I liked it.
Also - chance of following series or not?
I like it even though it's a bit different to classic Dwarf, and the twist is pretty interesting, and bizzare, which of course means it's perfect for an episode of Red Dwarf. I think I'll reserve final justgement until after I've watched the final part on Dave Ja Vu in 45 minutes, but so far I'm happy with it.
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

Came at a crappy time for me personally, i was looking forward to makeing a night of it with some mates at uni, few pizzas and drinks etc... but nooo, im at home, so i missed it lol. Ahh well, hopefully some mates did too so the original plan may still be on the cards
There is ofc always the worry that "one off" specials spawn a new series, which in general tends not to be a good thing. I just hope they dont spoil a classic. Im yet to see these specials, but as you say Kuffy, "too clean", i can imagine what you mean
The first episode was a bit weird, no audience laughter, full camera view of their bunk quaters. But I think that's just cos I was used to the old red dwarf. Overall I think that, after ten years, they actually did a pretty bang up job!
Wow! They made new Red Dwarf episodes? Someone tell me more! (I can't get the bbc these days...).
I love that show, watched pretty much all the old epsiodes.
Dave is a UK channel that shows loads of old BBC comedy's. Quite good, and Red Dwarf was exclusive to them, rather than the BBC.
I hope this is OK, but....

Sorry if this isn't allowed, but... shhhuuussshhh....
Seems like it's just me, but I watched the first episode last night and I thought it was terrible. Having loved the red dwarf of old, I thought this was nothing like it. As has been stated, they didn't have the 'canned' laughter, and I think that had a big effect, as well as them beinging generally different in style.
I havn't watched the second two as I really didn't enjoy the first. Seems like it was just me though...
The second two are a lot better, give them a try
