I've been checking GW's stock rate, and it seems they are going down. Anyone know anything about this?
Expensive Luxury Item
It could be that, or it could be that they just announced they were going to make a crummy direct to DVD movie.
Edit: Actually they're doing better than they were this time last year, despite a drop in share price in the last few days. Overall the price has shot up over this year and it's really not surprising to see it fall between the summer and Christmas season.

Unless you know the full ins and outs of the situation, judging the company by a week long share drop is a bad move. There could be a drop through the whole of that financial market (games/toys) if not the whole global market.
I'm with sithjack - it makes sense (to my uneducated sensibilities) that GW would be having a trying economic time. A fairly nasty recession means people are trying to cut corners where they can, and buying little expensive (and I daresay overpriced) metallic figurines to play games with is easily discarded in order to save money for next month's rent.

rhetorical question, but you catch my drift. (hopefully)
about a year ago they were talking about going down in flames so i would imagine it takes a while to build back up.. assuming sales have picked up
it does seems weird though considering theyre out of stock on things they sell and.. all they do is sell those things
it's like hostess being out of twinkies
When money is tight the first thing to go is that 3rd army you were planning on building. After all, while some may stereotype players as caring more about their armies than their electric bills, I doubt anyone is truly like that.
Less disposable income means the buying of fewer GW things.
When the economy turns around I have no doubt GW will flourish. Heck, I've been seeing a significant pick-up of people. And if the fact that Space Wolf stuff has been selling out is any indication, they should be doing fine.
