Anyone else here on LO have it pre-ordered? I for one am extremely anxious for December 20th.
Yes! Except that I'm in Australia, and there's currently no information on when the game will actually be released here. Not that I know of, anyway.
But I still have it pre-ordered. There was a thread somewhere about forming an LO based guild (Found it! (Star Wars: The Old Republic - Clan?)) but I'm not sure if Lost Nemesis is still about these boards all that often.
Any idea what class you'll play? I'm pretty much set on a Bounty Hunter myself but with this my first foray into MMO games I'm not sure if I'll be any good at it!
Imperial Agent! I have had my mind set on this for quite a long time now, also this is far from the first time I will have played an MMO so I'm really looking forward to it. The entire gameplay looks awesome, in terms of the morality guide and quests and such. Totally geeked.
So, umm, I'm not sure how much I'm actually allowed to say about this, but it seems I might have been lucky enough to gain an invite to take part in a Beta test for The Old Republic.
I'm trying to read through the tiny font of legal agreements to see if I'm going to get in trouble for this, but I think it says I can mention that much.
But I've seen other people out there taking questions about the game for interested people, and answering them so that people have a little more info available to them, so I though I might at least offer to do something like that. If anyone's interested...?
Least I can do, I suppose
I've been Beta testing for over the past year and I'm noy preordering it. Not that it isn't a good game, but as someone who works full time, has a family, and has lots of hobbies that don't get touched at all I can't justify spending money per month on one game that I play sitting behind a computer.
Yeah, I'm not too keen on the idea of a subscription based game myself, but I at least want to give it a try. Maybe testing will change my mind, we'll see.
Well, back from the testing.
I stuck to playing a bounty hunter, got to about level 15. Had quite a bit of fun along the way, the story kept moving me forwards and there are a lot of quite fun side quests in there. Some fantastic dialogue in this game, some really funny conversations along the way!
Didn't really get to see how the crew skills or crafting stuff works, aside from scavenging a few things here and there, so I still don't really know how that's all going to work.
Not sure about the Space Combat missions, I only attempted one just after getting my ship, and whether I just suck at that particular aspect or it just wasn't really clear what I had to do and how to do it... I wasn't all that impressed with it, regardless. The fact the game crashed on my second attempt didn't help my impressions, I suppose. Don't think its an integral part of the game, though, just there as side missions and for something else to do. At least I hope so, seeing as I'm so bad at it!
Seeing as I mentioned the amusing dialogue above I thought I'd leave you with these quotes from the game;Originally Posted by Captain ByrnMight not be as funny without the context but they made me laugh in gameOriginally Posted by P0-12
