For everyone not doing anything around Halloween I will be running an online game of the Lovecraftian roleplay Call of Cthulhu.

To participate you need-

-An open mind that you do not mind loosing
- A .net passport (i shall run this via an MSN group)
- Some understanding of how HP Lovecraft Stories work

So who is interested?

I'd be up for it, certainly.

And so would Nightie, whose Internet Explorer died as she was about to post her own reply.

So what day whould be favorite ? Sundays a bit tricky for me.

I'm game.

- Some understanding of how HP Lovecraft Stories work
I don't really know much about HP Lovecraft Stories, I do know quite a bit about Call of Cthulhu. If I need to know about HP Lovecraft Stories I'll just drop out.

The Call of Cthulu core rulebook actually has the entire short story of the same name in it.

Its not manditory but i strongly advise you do read it, however with the low turn out so far i may have to delay it for a few days until we get enough people.

If anyone feels a need to get up to speed with HP Lovecrafts work, PM me.

I have some of his significant work as electronic books or MS-Word docs.

Yeah, although I'd love to do it, I'm seldom available at any given time, and with my tendency to oversleep I probably would miss a lot.

And H.P. Lovecraft's stories are some of the greatest, it's a good thing to know some of the background of what you may run into, and to get the feel of the game, I suggest reading "Bloodcurdling tales of Horror and the Macabre" it covers The Call of Cthulhu, and much of the Cthulhu Mythos. As well as being a great read.

Personally, he is my second favorite author (first being Douglas Adams) I own a good bit of his work. Bloodcurdling Tales of Horror and the Macabre, Waking up Screaming, The Tomb and Other Short Stories, At the Mountains of Madness, and Dreams of Terror and Death.

Well it looks like we are too late for Halloween, however fear is a state of mind not a date in the year.

The story-

All the Investigators (player characters) wake up in a room with no idea of who they are or how they got there. Over time the Keeper (me) will gradually restore the investigator's memory and skills for better or for worse.

Its not too late for all of us. Hell it isnt even dark where I am. We can still make it tonight I think, as most of the people are regulars.
