Welcome to Librarium Online!
the title says it,
why does it cost so much to buy a few plastic figures, i'm from Canada and it costs me $40 for those regiment/squad boxes. just ridiculus, and they keep raising them! and they make more plastic models but ain't lowering the price, those ppl are making mad profit but still doens't lower the price.... sad
they made me buy my stuff from ebay now, i ain't getting ripped off at the store
like i know there background when there first models were hand made... cost alot, needed money to pay those off.... well they made back all there money, nothing from them is hand made anymore... that's why barely anyone plays warhammer, i ask my friends to play, only like 2-3 did out of like 50. all said it cost too much
what u ppl think?
look through the forum, you'll see plente of threads like this one.
Also, the prices are rising:
Green is good
Well if they keep raising the prices games workshop will start to lose money. I'll give you an example: I sold my balc templars army and was set on buying a black leigion chaos army (b/c i wanted a shooty army to take a break from my orks) But when the prices increased i said F**K it 1000 point army for 200 bucks isn't worth it. Plus on ebay you can't really get what you want (most of the time a good army is half crap painted, missing pices, contains units you don't want......stuff like that)
What is dis signature nonsence?! dem stupid human zoggers are always trien to confuze us.
Pretty much sums it up.Originally posted by Deadly Nightshade@Jan 28 2005, 13:51
I think a poster here said it well in that if you find the prices are too high - then you do not buy.
It sucks, GW can pretty much charge whatever they want. It's fairly reasonable though. Sure you put out a bunch of money for a new army. But if you research it right and don't buy useless units, like I did. You can play an army for a couple of years and add to it as you go, like I have done.
Oh and search the boards before you post, please.
Dead or Alive, you are coming with me.

/\Exactly.I think a poster here said it well in that if you find the prices are too high - then you do not buy.
Suck it up. We all know the prices are high, you (like lot's of other people) don't need to go ranting around the forum about this. It's unnecessary.
Yeah, the prices are high, but I only buy models around two or three times a year, so if I only buy a bit at a time, for a minimal amount of time, it dones't seem like too much money in the long run. I probably would buy like crazy if the nearest warhammer store wasn't an hour drive away, though.

Yeah i know the prices are sooo high , but for you guys overseas you can get 10 metal figures in boxed sets but here in australia all metal things are in blisters. $50 aus dollars for 20 plastic people is just redicolous, buyt iv found out ebay and iv nevwer looked back!
