As far as i am aware a bacon sandwich is some bacon (of varying amounts) between two slices of buttered bread. Variants include bacon and fried egg sandwiches, bacon and sausages sandwiches, or bacon buns.

Anyone else got any different ideas?

    Hello?

    BLT anyone?

    Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato?

Is that purely a USA treat?

Doesn't the rest of the pork eating world partake of this awesome snack?

    Whats so mysterious?

Bacon and bread. Thats all it is.

Bacon in the frying pan with butter till its golden, then stuffed between two slices of bread and eaten.

    Its nice. So what?

Umm.. a bacon butty is not cold bacon. The simple way to explain it is:

Get two slices of bread (or a bap), butter them/it.

    Get bacon, fry/grill till cooked.

Remove from pan/grill and place onto a buttered side of bread/bap.

Add sauce of your choosing (tomato or Daddies (IE HP Brown sauce)

Place other slice of bread on top/close bap.

    Eat and enjoy.
